Is it possible to mount it on a shelf?

As long as the screws aren't too long, I think it would mount to a cabinet just fine. If it is more convenient, this can also be mounted vertically.

Is it possible to use this in a vertical position?

I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't be able to. That's something I wish I'd considered when I was putting mine together.

Do you want to take the DIY approach? Is it necessary to use simple tools? Screwdriver, pencil, level, and Allen Wrench (Allen Wrench)br>Time? 30 minutes or lessbr>br>I like the modern look of this toilet paper holder and the ease of sliding paper rolls on and off. It protrudes a little further from the wall than others, but this allows for mega rolls, and the circle at the end keeps rolls from slipping off. This was simple to put together thanks to the instructions. It wobbled a little at first, but a little extra tightening with the hex key fixed it. The only problem I have with this toilet paper holder is that it is described as "brushed gold" rather than "brushed brass," and the tones in my bathroom clash.

The design is lovely, but it isn't functional

The color of brass was exactly what we needed. Once installed, it does not appear to be very sturdy. When changing the paper, it still wobbles on the wall. It's hard to say how long it'll last.

I bought this to match the rest of my brushed brass hardware in my powder room, and it looked great and was well made, but I couldn't get it to sit flush against the wall when I tried to install it. It swayed erratically and sank to the ground. Would never be able to withstand normal use. It became necessary for me to return.

It's a little tricky to put together because you have to work at a low level. It's a small bathroom in my house. Working with such small screws was difficult with this being so close to the toilet. It's designed to conceal screws, but they're so small that you'll have to work lying down on the floor, looking up, or by feel alone.
