This soap dish has DETACHES that give it a less cluttered appearance. There's no getting around the fact that I saw scores of shower caddies after remodeling my bathroom and was disappointed with the "traditional" wire ones. Most of them rust or discolor in a few years, bigger shampoo bottles never seem to fit in them, razors can fall through the bars, and so on. . . Sometimes you might have to prepare one of the little containers before using it. IT WAS THAT which caused me to have trouble. Had I known what to do, I wouldn't have wasted half an hour messing around with it. To my shame, I thought I knew what I was doing!
