Surfaces with smooth, flat edges, as well as sealed surfaces, can be used with the item. In order to clarify for some of the other respondents, it does not have an adhesive on the base, but rather a polyurethane pad that is extremely tacky, and therefore best suited to creating a strong but temporary bond on the surface
gave this product away as a gift because I did not use it myself. Yet, I did check the bottom of the table and was concerned because I thought it was sticky and might ruin the finish of the table if
In order to prevent it from falling off a table or boat surface, it is designed to stick to the A silicon (I think) material is used on the base, which won't damage the surface and allows the holder to be removed as many times as needed. While I don't think it would float, if you were to utilize it as designed, you wouldn't have to worry about recovering it.

The fact is. Under the holder, there is actually a sticky glue bottom, which is called a suction. When I placed this the first time, it worked well. I then moved it a second time and it still worked in a way. The second time I moved it, it didn't stick to the table in my RV and it fell off as I drove. I am going to buy some rubber and glue it to the bottom to see if this will help.
I don't have to worry about my cat knocking over my cup now. This thing sticks to my table very tightly. I also like that the insert for smaller cups is removable. There is also a cutout for coffee cups. As much as I was concerned that it might damage the laminate of my table, I have moved it several times without noticing any damage.
Sometimes tucked away among the millions of products we can find, we discover something that is simple and exactly what we wanted without even realizing we wanted it. The product in question is one of those. However, it is not cheap, so I am curious about how well it is made and how well it works. I was looking for something like this and here is what it is. To go with the chair I enjoy so much, I just bought a narrow but perfectly designed side table. Both shelves are two levels, but the upper shelf is smaller than the lower one. My goal is to charge my phone on a small magnetic disk while drinking my favourite beverage close at hand. My favorite drink is coffee in the morning, caffeine in the afternoon, and tea at night. The big problem with a setup like that is the risk of spilling the drink on I also have to deal with the occasional sudden jump-up of the cat that causes my coffee mug or tea cup to smash My dilemma seemed impossible to solve, but this solution seemed too perfect to be true. I had ideas to solve my dilemma, but this one felt too good to be true. Although I don't think that this is the best solution to my dilemma, you need to keep a few points in mind. A first drawback is that the three and a half inch size is fixed. You cannot adjust it, so not all bottles, cups or cans Another issue was that I was uncertain that this would stick to smooth hard surfaces. I mean, how many of us live in an RV, boat or car that is The top of my end table is almost smooth but not as smooth as glass because of the wood grain laminate. There is a very good hold from the micro suction bottom, and the wide bottom keeps it from tipping over. It is strong enough to prevent the holder from sliding around, and it is not at all likely to fall over. This product additionally serves as an insulator, making drinks cold and hot stay warm. The biggest drawback of this gadget when used for coffee cups is that it is designed for one size and shape of cup, which is great if that happens to be the size and shape you require - but is not really so good for other mug sizes or shapes. In particular, no part of it can have a diameter of more than 3. 5 inches. I'd say you will probably be fine if you have a cup that fits. There are a few other limitations on top of those listed above. It's hollow plastic which is very light and weighs less than four ounces. I expected it to be solid plastic, as it would be heavier and would be better at insulating. You will probably end up using it either for bottles or cans, or for coffee cups, either or both. It's a bit of a hassle to swap the inner lining when used for bottles and cans. You could either say "yes" or "no" to these little quirks before purchasing it. But if you do know these before buying it there shouldn't be anything stopping you from giving it five stars. At least for me it was exactly what I wanted.
The price of this product is extremely low, considering that it does not deliver what it promises. It took pictures for me to prove that sticky suction is adhesive. This is what you should tell me What about the sticky adhesive film that is left behind in the picture after it has been used for less than a minute on a wood, sealed table? If there was really suction from micro pores, then why would there be a sticky film left behind? * If you're looking for stickiness no matter what, and don't mind spending 16 bucks on what is just a durable plastic shape attached to a glue pad, it will work. It is imperative that you avoid this product if you desire a flexible object that does not require glue.
I will have this attached to my table for a week, and will let you know if any changes do occur.
This product is simply strong and well made. The adhesive is strong enough to secure the base while being able to be removed As for the included insert, I've never had to use it for small bottom cups, such as tall profile take out cups. There's another style that's taller and I prefer that a little more, while using both so I can have a cup of water and a coffee all at the same time while protecting the electronics and paper. It hasn't been subject to any incidents in daily use, so it is more likely to be rated There was no dispute as to who had the best rating. The protection of the office will increase productivity by a great deal. I bought two in the first place because I thought it was enough.
My intention was to use it to hold my water cup as I paint with a board on my lap as I hold my water cup- The choice is between watching TV or going outside. Using it as a water cup, I hung it on the upper edge of my laptop board (which is slanted to suit best posture positions on my laptop) and it worked It used to be that I would pull it off for storage, but I was afraid the adhesive would wear out, so now I just leave it in place. Despite the fact that the film never lost its sticky quality, and I always replaced it with a new one, I wondered how long it would last and because I liked the mechanism so much I just left it alone. The compact storage puts a little strain on the product, however it is worth the effort.
This was a really big I'm pretty sure I threw this out in the trash day one, since it was just a useless piece of plastic. What's the reason? There are several reasons why using this is pointless, but the main one is that it can't be used to hold a beer or soda can. I did not need the spacer since neither would fit my coffee mugs, water glasses, or whatever I needed to use. Plus, we have a nice custom leather couch, and the bottom of this thing hasn't any grip, only slick plastic bottom. In other words, unless you're looking for something to hold a bottle of, say, Mountain Dew or Coors, you should ignore.
