The chrome looks great for a while, but then it starts to peel off and turn green. The fling is a good option for an inexpensive way to look good in your bathroom for a short period. Even though the handle is chrome plated, it is made from a less durable metal that is not able to withstand many soap's harshness. There is a small area where the pin catches on the metal handle that gradually corrodes, more accurately the metal oxidizes over time. In simple terms, what happens is that the metal turns to dust slowly over time, causing the pin to fail. The handle then pops up, and the soap cannot be pumped. I am very sure I am right, since that handle has been replaced more than once, and I have bought several of these pumps over time. How ridiculous that the most expensive soap pump you can buy makes sure to fail after a certain period of time. There is a difference in that time based on what kind of soap you pump, mild soap will last a little longer, but if you use Dawn, that time is drastically reduced. There is a reason my pump failed after the warranty period, I was using Dawn in it. Hello, I purchased this product in December This was almost two years ago now. There was a rupture on the lever directly above the pump about a month ago. In any case, it is no longer of much use. This is something that I like I like the simple design and the fact that it holds a good amount of product, and the pump has not been problematic No charge.
