Overall, this has the potential to be a great buy if they put in some effort. The tray arrived unsealed and unstainred - a good sign that they put the effort in. The way it has turned out might not have been what the plan was. There is no issue with that My preference would be for it to be Although the tray appeared to be sturdy, it was splintering in several places, and bamboo splinters are not pleasant. A new tray was sent to me after I requested a return. As for the second tray, it was stained, but in an ineffective way. My order from the original was a totally different color from the original and I noticed some areas that were either too heavily stained or not stained at all. Having to sit there was an ugly, uncomfortable experience. As well as this, it has been returned. As can be seen in the picture, the logo on the first tray hardly stood out. On the second tray, it was quite obvious. Since there were so many issues with the first two, I don't have confidence that the third will differ from the first two, so the seller will not be getting another order from me. We are sad because the tray was strong and just what we were looking for on the whole, except for the finish issues.

I finally found this due to the fact that the book rest is wooden. I gave it to Jan as a Christmas present. Having now heard her promise, I can report that she will keep me around for quite a while.

I used to have a problem fitting my phone into previous trays because it was too big with a cover on it. This is the first time I've seen a wine hole that goes into the middle where normally it would go on the side. Sounds innocuous, but once you try to take your glass out, you realize how difficult it is! Compared to the flimsy product I had in the past, this one has a sturdy wooden back to hold a tablet or book. Whoever designed it clearly put a lot of thought into it! You did a great job.

The bamboo in the caddy matches the color of the In the trays is a slot large enough to fit an iPhone (not a recommendation, but merely to illustrate how narrow they are). Nevertheless, it was all broken when it arrived at the depot. Given I received this as a gift, I'm not so happy about that. There was a break in one of the insertable trays. The manufacturer was using cheap glue, because it looks like the glue isn't very strong. Unless you are familiar with the construction of this product, I would not recommend buying it. I am unsure if it will last and the build quality is really poor.

The quality of this item isn't as good as I expected, given what I paid for it. Although I love the look of this and all of the trays, this thing is splintery and rough to handle. Even on the fold up book end, since it holds my phone in a case (an iPhone 11), but if it were any thicker, I would not be able to use it. If you run your hand over it, then it will do. The price would not have bothered me so much if it wasn't one of the more expensive ones.
