My thyroid eye disease was significantly improved as a result of using this product

Graves eye disease, also known as thyroid eye disease, required intravenous steroids, but this prevented me from needing them. My eyes were extremely irritated and painful, as if they were about to explode, and I had very limited eye mobility. My eye surgeon determined that I was in the active phase of Graves' disease and recommended a 6-week weekly intravenous steroid treatment, but also suggested that I try selenium 100 MCG twice a day before starting the steroids. My eye pain was almost completely gone by the fourth day of taking this selenium supplement. After two weeks of taking selenium, my eye surgeon told me that I didn't need the intravenous steroids anymore. She suggested selenium treatment for six months. My thyroid was removed because my thyroid surgeon said my eyes could deteriorate due to an autoimmune disorder I have called Graves disease, but I'm amazed at how the selenium alleviated my eye pain, restored significant eye movement, and prevented me from having to take steroids. If you have thyroid-related eye disease, see an opthamologist who specializes in it to see what treatment options are available to you. This is a supplement I strongly suggest.

For me, 100 mcg is ideal; 200 mcg causes my mind to race. I already eat a lot of nuts, but my thyroid requires more Selenium.

This is one that is not to be overlooked. However, I have noticed that it is assisting me with my sleep, thyroid, and mood. It seems to be superior to the others I've tried. I'm experiencing less insomnia and a general improvement in my mood. It is something I consume on a regular basis.

Not in excess. If you suffer from hypothyroidism, this supplement could be beneficial. I was able to get rid of my hypothyroidism by taking this and iodine kelp capsules. The thyroid benefits from selenium as well. I'm relieved that I won't have to begin taking thyroid medication. This capsule appeals to me because the amount of selenium it contains is moderate.
