The company now has two manufacturing plants, one in Nevada and the other in Illinois. The label on my bottle says it was produced in Illinois. They've been in the United States for quite some time now. since the year 1968

I've been taking selenium supplements for a long time, and they occasionally have an odor. I've also been a fan of NOW products for a long time. That's why I was taken aback when I discovered that these selenium capsules stink worse than I can stand.
This brand's quality is comparable to that of far more expensive brands, in my opinion. My moderate prostate condition has improved with the use of both prescription medication and this vitamin. My condition has improved with the use of this and other recommended vitamins as opposed to just taking prescribed medications, as recommended by my New York Presbyterian urologist. Don't waste your money on more expensive brands when I can show you the proof right here. I'm not the only one who thinks this way.
For years, I've been taking regular Selenium tablets as prescribed by my doctor for thyroid eye disease, and NOW was the best, most effective brand I could find. Until now, that is. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not reacting well to the yeast-free, but I don't believe it matters. I'm guessing they're trying to save money by using a low-quality product, and I'm very disappointed. I wish there were better laws in place in the United States to protect consumers from snake oil salesmen. Please let me know if anyone has any good Selenium recommendations, as my eyesight is deteriorating with each passing day.
Selenium with kelp, taken once a day, has significantly improved my energy levels.
Without a doubt, the item is genuine. It smells and tastes like selinium, but it makes me so sick when I take it that I burp up the taste and feel nauseous for about 2 hours. My husband is 6'6 and around 220 pounds, and he doesn't have the same nauseating effects, but he despises the taste and smell. He'll continue to take it because he needs it for immunity, but we'll try a different brand next time. br>br>I understand that selinium supplements have a taste and odor, but this one is a little too strong. On the bright side, it is unmistakably authentic.
Yikes; I began taking this because I had heard it could help with thyroid issues, but after less than a week, my hair began to fall out - I have a lot in my hairbrush, and I have a lot in my shower. It also had a texture that was quite different from what you'd expect - It's a bit thin and dry. It was a very upsetting experience. I didn't immediately see the connection, but then I came across an article about selenium overdose. It turns out that a simple multivitamin (like the ones I get from TJ's) already contains selenium, and that taking any more could be harmful. I stopped taking it, and my hair began to return to normal after a few weeks. Only a word of warning!.
NOW is usually a good source of Selenium and other supplements, but the first bottle I opened had an odd odor. I read that it can have an off-putting odor, so I tried it for a few minutes before stopping. I just opened the second bottle, which smells even worse than the first, and it's too late to return it.
