I'm usually skeptical of supplements that claim to improve mood, libido, or other aspects of one's life, but I was intrigued when I saw Life Extension discuss this herb [and use it in one of their supplement formulations]. I'm a man, and for the past two weeks, I've been experimenting with this brand of muira puama. I took three capsules in the morning every other day. I noticed an increase in libido and arousal after the two-week period. The effects can be subtle at first, as I've noticed that they take several hours to fully manifest after taking the herb, and they usually fade by evening. And there aren't any negative side effects.
First, a brief history of myself - I don't have libido issues, but I wanted to see if this product would give me a testosterone boost in addition to libido. Nosiree! Although there isn't a T impact here, yowza! Taking just one of these pills (the recommended dose is four per day) increases sex interest, arousability, erection length, and the ability to delay release. The first two effects are noticeable within an hour, and taking two per day can be quite distracting. To summarize, it is not intended to treat general testosterone problems, but it does work.
