Questions & Answers

Would you mind telling me how this cut is? Are they the same as in the Would you please give me some info on 2021?

The difference in the cut does not appear in the picture, but all are cut the same way. My wife and I preferred another brand, and we both bought this brand as well

Can you tell me how long these licorice root slices are?

You need to cut and sift it Coarsely ground up is basically what it is. It is possible to put a pinch of this in your cheek as long as you pay attention to foreign objects and tricky

It is necessary to tailor herbal treatment for COPD to meet each individual's needs. There are many formulas and they can be quite subtle and complex. Whenever possible, you should seek out a certified ethnobotanist or TCM practitioner instead of trying to treat yourself or others without knowing what you're doing. It is not difficult to find a skilled herbalist, you just have to look. They are available. Have a good day).

This needs to be sifted again if you plan to use it for tea
3/5

As much as 6 lbs of this stuff has been ordered for making tea so far. We were very happy with the first 3 pounds, they were well sifted, and the consistency was excellent. Yet, five half-pounds of my last pound of tea -- I still have two more -- were dust and small particles that impured the tea and made it It took me a long time to sift it all and I wasn't able to get out all of the powder and particulates, though I got most of them out. The next two pounds will be interesting to see, but if they turn out to be powdery, I won't be buying them.

The update is The products are now derived from Turkey This is disgusting! As far as I know, he was right
5/5

It was bad to have a variety from Africa. The third update has been posted (TURKISH SOURCE This is the same exact product I bought from Swanson and it works exactly the same. Turkey is the latest country from which this variety is sourced. It seemed to me that the South Africa variety was rather poor You don't have to wait long for the TURKISH variety to hit Amazon. We are frustrated with the terrible quality of the current purchase, which is even worse than previous poor sourcing from South Africa. Despite the root's dark and stale appearance, it has about 2/3 bark and 2/3 flesh coverage. Bitter, as if dried sticks were being chewed. There is nothing sweet about this variety, and it is also cut much coarser than the EGYPT variety, which was cut light and flaky. There was a little bit of the Egypt variety left from a 4-pack Five years later, the Turkey variety tastes terrible and smells appalling compared to what it was five years ago. To make my usual morning tea, I added two tea spoons of this Turkish tea The garbage I obtained does NOT provide me with any SWEETNESS in my tea. The taste of pure bitterness. The quality of food is deteriorating at an increasing rate There is an increase in price! Since I ordered the two bags from Swanson, I returned them and reordered them, believing that I received some defective items. I have to say that the replacements are just as nasty. A $12 fee was charged to me. Swanson's 40% OFF sale has it marked down to $30 per 1lb bag and it's still $12 overpriced. It took me about 30 minutes (Swanson offers a 40% OFF sale every few weeks if you're interested. for Starwest's website, but The newest review on their website is from 2016, so that's why it's the most recent. I am desperate for a better brand. I add this to my tea daily to help me with my adrenal condition. I find Starwest to be subpar in terms of this product.

I'm desperately looking for a better brand. We'd be happy to hear about any that you may know of. I really appreciate your help. NEWS UPDATE 12 SOURCED FROM SOUTH AFRICA (2018 STAR 1) Earlier this week, I received a new batch of this product and it is now of TERRIBLE quality. As I described in my original review, it was an awesome product from Egypt. Currently this product is sourced out of I was really disappointed with the quality, texture, and taste of this product. This dish has a huge, inconsistent texture, and a taste that is thin or bland. The scent of the product is completely off and smells like petroleum, not like the beautiful Egypt of old. It is scented with licorice from around the world. I stated in my original review that Starwest should not alter the source of this material (Egypt) or make any changes to it. This is perfect for you". I think they messed up a bit. This is the original review for 10 SOURCE EGYPT (2015 Five stars) My personal experience with Frontier Licorice Root has been very mixed over the years. I have bought it for many years but I was never very satisfied with it. I found its taste to be stale and its color to be dark and unusual. Unlike other brands of tea, this Starwest brand is more natural in color, has a better taste, and the grind is flaky and airy to the perfect size, making it perfect to make Additionally, the bags can be resealed. One of the best licorice roots I have ever eaten. Many of the brands that I've tried both online and in Asian stores are my favorites. It is my fault that I didn't switch to Starwest earlier. I would appreciate your not changing the source of this material (Egypt) or doing anything else to it. You've done a great job.

I like it very much! The reason I decided to try this is that licorice root is very soothing to mucous membranes of the digestive tract, helping to repair and maintain the protective barrier of the stomach and intestines
4/5

As for the taste of licorice, I love it too. Back when the roots arrived, I initially thought about chewing them. The first time I tried it, I was disappointed because I had hoped it would taste more like candy licorice. Instead, it tasted a bit earthy (in a good way), but it lacked a licorice taste. As I drank the tea, I noticed there was a nice sweet aftertaste (very mild) I found that the taste of licorice lasted for a while.

But, one of my favorite things to do with it is make licorice tea. For this, I used some small cotton bags that I use for brewing loose tea. I found the flavor to be a bit earthy at first, but after a while the aftertaste was wonderful It tastes mildly licoricey and lasts a while. As a result, I have gotten into the habit of not stirring the water in the cup after it was refilled and instead just letting the cup sit with the In addition to the small bag of roots lasting me for many days, the refills gave me a lot of pleasure all day long. It seemed as if the roots might eventually be drained of flavor, but they would only take about 10 refills to do that. Moreover, I felt like my stomach was calmer throughout, though it is just a feeling that I can attribute to the supplement.

The item you received was not what you expected! It was a pleasant experience drinking A picture I saw appeared to be misleading, however
3/5

As you can see in the picture, I ordered it because I thought it was going to be small chips of the root. Since my children do not like the tea, they will usually chew on a small piece of the root as an alternative. A bag of finely chopped root is contained in this package. The chewing gum won't do much good for them. Tea is the only thing I can make with this. Despite having so many things, I found this to be a major disappointment.

The caveat We are dealing with powder here This is not a loose cut as described
5/5

Licorice root was required for an herbal tincture I was making. According to the description, the cut is loose. A fine powder was the package I received. There is no way to make this into Make sure you are buying from a reputable company. This is the last time I'll buy this brand or from this seller.

The medication cleared my asthma cough that had lasted for a month in just two days
3/5

Over the past month, I had been suffering from an allergy/asthma cough. By the end of the week, I was still having trouble breathing even though I was taking two steroids. By the time I reached the end of the second or third hour, my inhaler was still not providing much relief. A friend of mine suggested the tea because she is a fan of Upon taking it the first time I noticed a sweet after taste, and as well as the warmth of the tea I noticed instant improvement. A little tea would help me when I felt like a cough was starting. This cleared up my cough and improved my breathing. I did this for 2 days. While I notice my cough comes back occasionally after drinking anything cold, on the whole I found that the tea proved to be much more effective than the weekly steroids, nasal sprays, twice a day inhalers, rescue inhalers, cough drops, cough syrup, or Now that I have tried this tea, it has become a family favorite! I was given my life back!.

It is very disappointing
5/5

There is nothing similar to what is depicted in the pictures. The LICORICE twigs are made up of very tiny pieces, no large chunks of root. The bag did not smell at all like licorice root once I opened it up. It is very disappointing.
