For the latest update, please see the bottom of the page. You have to see this stuff. Because I had chronic heartburn for years and acid reflux, DGL made me feel like a brand new person. In order to help you understand just how bad this was for me, I am including some background information. Since a primary physician told me to take Omeprozole/Prilosec 20mg (I also tried Nexium for a while) several years ago, I have been taking it on the advice for 15 years. Although it relieved some of the heartburn, it did not totally eliminate it. In the past 10 years, I've tried numerous times to wean off the drug, but it is too painful for me. It was often the case that I was taking prilosec, zantac/ranitidine, pepto, and tums in addition to them. As a sleeping person, I used to wake up frequently, choking and gagging. I would eventually get sick from stomach acid accumulating behind my throat. I had to learn how to sleep with my upper body elevated, as it was a terrible feeling. Despite following all of the usual doctor recommendations, such as avoiding spicy, acidic, fatty, and foods that frequently caused heartburn, eating smaller portions, adjusting posture, and not eating late at night, following those recommendations did not result in any noticeable improvement. The issue that I was having was fixed by two expensive surgeries I had a few years ago In addition to repairing my hernia, my stomach valve was repaired as well. Most of my regurgitation was alleviated by that treatment, but I still had a tiny amount of it from time to time. Thanks to the surgery, I now sleep better at night without having to be elevated, and I no longer have to be in bed all night. In spite of these surgeries, I still had to take Prilosec since the heartburn did not go away. In addition to Zantac and Pepto, I would need to take some other aid every other day. My primary physician told me the same old things - that it was all natural that I would get better. Keep taking the Prilosec, don't eat spicy foods, etc. tried a carbohydrate restricted diet with less sugar, wheat, and oats, and found that it had a moderate impact. I still needed Prilosec every day, but did not need help from other antacids any longer. Now that the backstory is over, let's get to the point. DGL is the first thing that comes to mind. Taking 2 pills a day (I know it is only suggested to take one), one in the morning and one in the evening, has been working for me. The next day after I stopped taking Prilosec cold turkey, I started taking DGL instead. Nearly all of the heartburn has disappeared! The burning sensation appears to occur a bit more often but never really escalates to anything serious. I have been unable to drink beer for over 10 years without massive antacid help both before drinking the beer and afterward, and I feel miserable and bloated as a result. No more pills are needed now, so I can drink a big mug of beer without worrying about Symptoms of chronic heartburn and a desire to avoid or wean off of prescribed PPIs can be managed with this kind of medicine. The product has truly changed me into a new person. I know it sounds like snake oil salesman, but I am truly a new person since using it. Since I began taking this product almost a month and a half ago, I take one pill in the morning and one at night. As a result, the worst of the heartburn was relieved. I still experience occasional regurgitation because of issues with how my throat muscles swallow food (food gets stuck sometimes since it isn't being pushed down properly). Because of these issues, the stomach surgery could not completely tighten the valve. If you were taking DGL, you would not have much heartburn and it would not last as long as it did As long as you take Pepto once a day or every other day, you should be able to treat most remaining heartburn. Since starting this product, I have avoided all Prilosec/Zantac/Ranitidine and chewable antacids since I started eating this in addition to my usual diet. I remain convinced that this is a fantastic product. My doctor suggested I add Slippery Elm (now called Slippery Elm, 400mg) a few weeks ago. As a result of my testing, I found that 2 pills in the morning and 1 in the evening are most effective for reducing regurgitation. I am seriously impressed with this combination of DGL and Slippery Elm.

It had been successful for me to get my BP down to a point where my doctor said I no longer needed blood pressure medication. As a result of the ulcer I was also diagnosed with, I started searching for natural remedies and my search for DGL kept coming up repeatedly, so I decided to give it a go. A little over a week ago, I took one, two days ago, I skipped a day and took another day. Oh my gosh, my heart is going crazy. Clearly, it has taken me over a week (since I stopped taking the DGL) for my heart to regulate and feel normal. I find it frustrating and a bit scary. Although I would not recommend this product to any of my friends, I still gave it 3 stars because the return process was very easy and I had no issues with the company during the return process. As a result, what I advise is not to tempt your heart by taking more than two caplets at a time. I have since continued to take marshmallow root and drink aloe vera juice for my ulcer, and I've noticed that those seem to be working and not affecting my heart.

There has been a lot I have tried in my life. My digestive issues have been diagnosed by a gastroenterologist and I have had a number of procedures to pinpoint their cause. The tests have all come up inconclusive. I've gone through medications from the doctor and herbs and over-the-counter drugs. The first thing I tried that actually created a noticeable difference was this. I am less gassy, I am digesting food better and the bloating and pain I experienced after eating anything are significantly reduced and do not last nearly as long as they used to. After just one pull a day, my stomach is able to digest food much faster. Dairy and gluten must be avoided as much as possible when it comes to me. Furthermore, consuming too many acidic foods can cause acid reflux. I have noticed that even if I indulge in those foods a little, the effects it has on me are much less than they used to be when I wasn't I found these solutions to be effective. It will be great if they keep being.

Natural acid reflux remedies caught my attention when I researched them. It was recommended that you take licorice. Up until I started taking DGL Licorice, it bothered me almost every night. After taking it for two weeks, it has only bothered me one time and is much less bothersome.

To avoid taking PPIs, which don't agree with me, I take several supplements that help to treat reflux. I have no side effects from taking this extract, and it does the job of helping me digest and settling I think it is a great.
