Questions & Answers

Is this a biodegradable item?

Because fish oil is molecularly distilled and then converted back to rTG (a more natural triglyceride form), it isn't really a candidate for being "organic." This distillation removes any contaminants that may have been present. There are no other ingredients in this recipe that would require organic certification, as olive oil contains some vitamin E (but only a trace to keep the oil fresh) and vitamin D3. This is a great formula. I wouldn't be concerned about the cleanliness of this product. You can also use the IFOS to find out more information. For a precise analysis, go to the www.com website.

Is the Omega-3 triglyceride form available?

Yes, they're what's known as rTAG, or re-programmable tag arrays. triacylglycerol that has been esterified They are synthetic, but their molecules are identical to those found in natural fish oil and in eating fish, particularly oily fish. Only the ethyl esters that haven't been reacted with glycerol are a source of concern. If you're pregnant or nursing, you should avoid taking dietary supplements that contain ethyl esters. Instead of "Prenatal DHA," I call these products "Prenatal ethanol." Arachidonic acid is also necessary for the development of the central nervous system, so you should take a supplement that contains it.

What exactly are the pill's dimensions? My gag reflex is extremely strong. I tried taking NatureMade's prenatal multi DHA, but I couldn't take it because I couldn't swallow it. ?

In comparison to most fish gel caps, they are quite small. Their Ultimate Omega, for example, is 1,000mg, which is exactly twice the size of this one, which is only 500mg. It's extremely simple to take. They've been reduced in size and tasteless so that even a nauseated pregnant woman can eat them.

Caplets have a tendency to leak, and Amazon seller storage can reduce effectiveness
3/5

My profession is that of a physician. I've been taking this supplement since I was pregnant with my first child, and I'm continuing to take it now that I'm nursing my second. I ordered this a few months ago and have been taking it ever since. I detected a fishy flavor, but assumed it was due to a change in the formulation. I came across a pair of caplets that were adhered together with a translucent brown substance today. So I nearly emptied the bottle, only to discover that the inside of the bottle was stained brownish and that several caplets were stuck together. I contacted Nordic Naturals, who informed me that the Amazon seller from whom I purchased it is not an authorized vendor and that they may not have properly stored it. They claimed that if their product is not properly stored, the caplets can burst during shipping, resulting in the problem described above. They cannot replace the product because the seller was not an authorized dealer, and the product has a REDUCED EFFECT if stored incorrectly, and they have no control over whether the product is stored correctly or not after it is listed on Amazon. They aren't aware that it is harmful, but it's as if I didn't take any supplements for part of my pregnancy and the last five months of my baby's life; in other words, Nordic Naturals claims that the effectiveness of their product cannot be guaranteed when purchased on Amazon. To say the least, it was disappointing. Buyer beware.

Other than eating oily fish, this could be the best synthetic fat source of nature-identical DHA and EPA TAGs
5/5

When it comes to providing omega-3 fatty acids to your unborn child and newborn, you have a few options. Eating oily fish provides omega-3 fatty acids (DHA, EPA, and DPA) as well as arachidonic acid (AA). Organic pollutants and heavy metals in fish are a concern for some childbearing women, so they opt for "molecular distilled" fish oils. Unfortunately, many fish oils sold on the market are in the less bioavailable derivatized form of ethyl esters, which are not recommended for pregnant or lactating women. When you hydrolyze ethyl esters to release fatty acids, you also release ethanol, which may be more harmful than drinking alcohol. As I demonstrated here with Nurture Me, which is not "fish oil," you can test your dietary supplement using the simple Styrofoam challenge. That product is mislabeled and could result in fetal alcohol syndrome (FASD). Furthermore, because ethyl esters are not "dietary substances," the supplement is misbranded if they are included in it. Read the guidelines for the New Dietary Ingredients. Food does not contain ethyl esters. br>br>Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA has an intriguing chemistry. The most of the DHA is esterified to glycerol in all three positions, which is known as structured lipids or esterified TAG (rTAG). These are the sn- positions. 1, sn- 2, as well as sn- 3. Ensure that you get two free uncooked eggs during hydrolysis. DHA molecules that have been esterified, as well as one 2-DHA molecule monoacylglycerol glycerol (two-thirds of a glycerol molecule) MAG). These molecular species are more easily transported to enterocytes, where they are re-processed. back to TAG esterification Following that, TAG and phospholipid chemical forms, which are the natural chemical forms from which they were derived, are transported to fetal tissues. Finally, transfer of these fats (TAG) to breast milk results in the correct chemical form for which your newborn can absorb in the optimum chemical form TAG rather than ethyl esters. br>br>If the product causes gastric upset, carefully open the capsule and empty the contents into your favorite smoothie or yogart. br>br> There are no ethyl esters in any of the infant formulas on the market that attempt to mimic human milk. In the Omtryg (omega-omega-omega-omega-omega-ome Prescription information for "nursing mothers" (3 acid ethyl esters) is as follows: "A lactating rat study in which 14-day oral gavage was given to the rats ethyl EPA found that drug levels were 6-fold higher than expected. Milk has a concentration that is 14 times that of plasma. When giving omega-3 fatty acids, it's important to be cautious. Acid ethyl esters A should not be given to nursing mothers. As a result, if you take the ethyl ester forms of prenatal DHA, you're potentially giving your baby 6-months of life. 14 times the amount of ethanol-producing drug substance br>br>First, double-check your supplements, then put your faith in them. A quick test to see if your pre-existing condition is still present. Do the simple Styrofoam test shown in the figure I've attached, comparing the top-rated Nordic Naturals prenatal DHA with two ethyl ester products sold on Amazon that don't tell you you're taking an ethanol-producing product. br>br>It's a good idea to stock up on omega-3 fatty acids. 3 in your fat tissues before getting pregnant, and this product helps males increase DHA in the phospholipid membranes of spermatozoa. Finally, it is up to you and your health care provider to decide what is best for you, your unborn child, and your newborn baby. Because they are both important components of phospholipids in the brain and retina, DHA should be combined with AA (arachidonic acid) and EPA. According to the FAO's guidelines: "Pregnant women should consume the following amounts of DHA, EPA, and AA every day: (FAO, 2008) DHA is 200 mg per day, DHA EPA is 300 mg per day, and AA is 800 mg per day. These amounts should be sufficient to meet the fetus's needs, promote proper nervous system development, and reduce the risk of preterm birth and/or low birth weight. "Extract from "The Ins and Outs of Maternal-Fetal Medicine" Rafa Bobiski published a paper called "Fetal Fatty Acid Metabolism" in [. By presenting the above information, which is already in the public domain, I apologize if I caused any anxiety during your pregnancy or lactation. It has an awful fishy flavor to it! For the past two years, I've been using Nordic Naturals prenatal DHA in UNFLAVORED and have been very pleased with it
3/5

I've never had a problem with the smell, taste, or aftertaste, but when I recently ran out and needed more, I discovered that the unflavored product had suddenly increased in price by a significant amount. The strawberry flavor, on the other hand, was the original cost. So I reasoned, "Why not?" If the unflavored version was good, I'm confident the strawberry version will be as well. " WRONG! The scent is pleasant, resembling a synthetic strawberry. However, the flavor of "fish rotting in the hot sun" hits you as soon as you bite into one of these puppies. They're well past their expiration date, have no discoloration, and smell fine, so I'm guessing artificial strawberry and fish oil don't mix well. I'm starting to dread taking these tests. To avoid the pill touching my tongue, I must first drink a lot of water and then swallow quickly. I'd return them, but since I opened them and took some, I doubt I'll be able to do so. Next time, I'll either look for a different brand or look for the unflavored at a lower price elsewhere; however, AVOID THESE!.

Is it possible that when you buy something on Amazon, the quality will suffer? The first bottle I bought was perfect; now I've received two bottles with strawberry flavor packaging, but they're unflavored and have a fishy scent/taste, which is not to be expected from this brand
4/5

After receiving a second "bad batch," I called Nordic Naturals' customer service line, and an employee simply said the company cannot guarantee the quality once it's shipped by Amazon due to the way it's stored/handled. So, as much as I liked the idea of ordering these prime, I'll probably order them directly from Nordic Naturals' website, where I know the quality will be guaranteed.

OUR MIDWIFE WAS WONDERFULLY AMAZED
5/5

THESE WERE THE CHANGES SHE MADE>. I did a lot of research on Prenatal DHA and ultimately chose this one for a variety of reasons. One of the most significant was that the source was anchovies and sardines, which are smaller deep sea fish (water is colder). 2nd - It contains vitamin D3, which aids in absorption. 3rd - It's encapsulated in Olive Oil, as opposed to canola and other impure oils found in most supplements. When I showed these to our 20-year-old midwife, she was so taken with them that she switched to them. Couldn't be more pleased!.
