When your children eat a diet that makes use of the most whole foods, those are the only supplements they should take. All of my children can eat these (ages 1, 4, 7, 11). My only complaint is the thickness of the gel capsules. My little two kids can have trouble chewing them since they don't know how to swallow pills. Plus, they're so thin and tough that they get stuck between two teeth. I still find chewed up capsules on the kitchen table for a while even though they have learned how to do it, it used to be more of a problem in the beginning. Her mouth is getting wet, but I don't think she is swallowing it. My only wish is that they are thinner so kids who chew them can get down quicker. You used to be able to dissolve them easily in your mouth, they tasted fruity. The pills now taste gross and aren't dissolving as easily as they used to. I have tried the oils and I agree with my daughter that they're gross.
