I'm cheap and don't like wasting things, so I'm going to keep using them now that I've purchased them. They are, however, revolting. Every time I open the bottle, I swear I can hear seagulls. It smells like fish on top of fish on top of fish on top of fish on top of fish on top of fish on top of fish on top of fish on top of fish Every time I take one, I have to drink a glass of water and then wash my hands because they smell like I've been working offshore for 36 days. They're a bunch of jerks, you know.
I used to work at a gas station, and because I was always working alone, I didn't have time to pump. To do so, I had to lock the store down. Naturally, I began to produce less and less milk after a while. When my baby is only 4 months old, this is the last thing I want. I was able to feed my baby girl from one breast while pumping from the other, almost filling a 6 oz bottle before going to work. It got to the point where I'd come home from work and feed her, only to find that she was nearly emptying both of them. I could only pump enough milk for my 5-year-old daughter. She'd be hungry when I got home from 8-hour shifts. I tried the mother milk tea but didn't care for the flavor; I don't like licorice. I sucked it down as best I could, but I needed something else. As a result, I discovered these pills. Every day, one. I'm no longer working at that job, but I'm back to pumping and filling an 8oz bottle after my baby has eaten again. I need to start pumping more because I'm once again producing more than I need and waking up drenched. After being afraid of having to supplement with formula, which I don't want to do, a blessing of milk came my way. br>br>As for flavor, YAY, there isn't any. It's a tablet of some sort. If you can, drink it with milk to get the most out of it.
I've had three children, so I've tried a variety of prenatal vitamins. vitamin supplements, as well as prenatal and postnatal vitamins These are the worst because they are oily out of the bottle and taste bad, leaving a fishy aftertaste that I have to mask with juice. They are also large and have gotten stuck in my throat, despite the fact that I'm usually pretty good with pills. These are something I strongly advise against.
It took a very long time for the package to arrive! When I finally got them, I cracked the safety seal on the bottle, allowing air to escape. It appears that one of the pills was punctured, as there is an oily substance all over each pill, and it smells awfully like fish. To be honest, I'm a little apprehensive about taking them. I was so looking forward to getting these, but I was sorely disappointed: (br>br>Update** I eventually took them and got over the fishy odor. This brand is one of my favorites because it is gentle on my stomach. Almost every time I take vitamins, I get nauseated! I also appreciate the fact that I am not required to take these with food. As a result, I'm going to stick with them. I'll upgrade my one-star rating to a four-star rating:.
While I dislike the fish oil smell, the new formula does a much better job of masking it. I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing I'm getting the proper vitamins to nurse my baby. Plus, it never hurts to keep those vitamins up; they've helped me so much in the past with fighting off those pesky daycare viruses that I'm thinking I'll keep taking them after I stop nursing!.
When I bought the bottle, it had a safety seal on the inside, and the pills were as expected. These have no aftertaste and do not make me feel nauseous. Although it is a larger pill (the same size as the prenatal), I found it to be simple to swallow.
These vitamins have not caused me any problems. I took Natural Valley PreNatal vitamins during all three of my pregnancies, so switching to these was a natural transition. They're roughly the same size (if not slightly smaller) as the prenatal variety. I like how the vitamin combination caters to breastfeeding and postpartum recovery (hello, hair loss!). ), and it appears that it was beneficial.
I erred by failing to read reviews. I'm not sure why these aren't the same as the Target ones. I know it's the same brand and everything, but holy crap YUCK. When I first opened the new bottle, I was hit by a wave of fishy odor. I was perplexed by the strong odor, so I took one to quickly close the bottle and put an end to my misery. They have a fishy, unpleasant flavor that matches their odor. I panicked, thinking I'd been poisoned, and went straight to the reviews, where several people complained about the fishy odor and flavor. Someone mentioned the smell sticking to your fingers, so I smelled my own fongers that had come into contact with the toxic pills, and yep, there was more fish smell. I am extremely dissatisfied with these products and will be discarding them. Purchases should be made in-store only. I've purchased a number of bottles from the store and have yet to come across this. That's what you get for saving a little cash, I suppose!.
