The first day was somewhat helpful. The second day was a bit more helpful. The dam finally burst on day three, and I'm feeling a lot better. br>It's incredibly tasty, making it much easier to consume than plain psyllium. I'd also like to point out that the other positive effect is that it makes me feel full and less hungry. br>I am very pleased with this product and am hopeful that it will continue to serve me well in the future.

For the past 20 years or so, I've been using this excellent product on a daily basis. Initially, it was used to alleviate hemorrhoid-related symptoms. This provided almost instant relief and has since put an end to the symptoms. By my second visit to the doctor's office, 'banding' during outpatient surgery had convinced me that it was far better to include this in my diet on a daily basis those some 20 years ago. With regular use of this product, you can almost completely avoid straining during bowel movements, and I've found that it has also helped me when I've had diarrhea. Because Metamucil will regulate and form the stool in both cases, whether there is a straining problem or the stool is loose and watery. It gets easier to pass. Making me'regular' by using this product on a daily basis and including fiber in my diet has also made me feel healthier. br>br>I usually take this around 7 p. m. after dinner, mixed with a large glass of water. After that, I'll have a second glass of water. Water (which I adore) is always cold. Also, at least two to three hours prior to bedtime. The water must be thoroughly mixed with it. I used to rush through mixing and end up with clumps or residue in the bottom of the glass. The orange flavor is delicious, and the texture is silky - If you drink it quickly, it'll be fine! Allowing it to sit in the glass for an extended period of time will cause it to thicken quickly. I drink one 8-ounce glass in the morning before breakfast and another late at night before dinner. This container is larger than I anticipated, and the container on the left in the photo is the 10-ounce sample I bought in the store to see if the product would work for me. The right-hand container is the one I purchased from Amazon. I'll keep the smaller one for travel, but I'll save a lot of money with the larger one.

It's difficult to love something like this, but I needed something to stop the loose bowels after eating a large salad for lunch every day. I saw a gastroenterologist, who recommended that I do this twice a day. It works. That is all that needs to be said.
