"Gluten;" does not appear on the label. It does, however, state that it "contains wheat and soy." Gluten is found in wheat, if I'm not mistaken.
Wheat and soy appear to be out of place in a digestive product like this! Both of these things are bad for your digestive system, even if you aren't affected by gluten to the point of noticing or receiving a celiac diagnosis. I'm curious if anyone more knowledgeable about this product, or similar products in general, could chime in. Why would they put wheat or soy in their food in the first place?
I'm not sure, but I can say that it's the best probiotic I've ever taken - It has proven to be extremely beneficial to me.
The one I got in July has a January 2016 expiration date.

Since I was ten years old, I've had irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with constipation and diarrhea. I've never had daily regular bowel movements in my life; I've gone two weeks without one, and I've also had uncontrollable bowel movements. diarrhea that hurts- I'm talking about the kind where you break out in a cold sweat and strip down to your underwear- For the past three months, I've been taking this product, starting with one pill in the morning. I gradually increased my dosage to two pills per day, one in the morning and the other at night. Every other day, I have a painless bowel movement. single. day. I'm not afraid to leave the house or go out to eat with friends anymore. This item provided me with independence. I was able to reclaim my life with the help of this product. There is nothing else that even comes close to this product.
I have diarrhea as a result of stress. It's referred to as IBS by my doctor. Whatever. All I know is that Digestive Advantage Intensive Bowel Support is more effective than any other probiotic I've tried. Bacillus coagulans, I believe, is responsible for this. Don't make any jokes! There's a term for it. It is, in fact. When I take it, I make an effort to include a spoonful of raw honey. Honey has a prebiotic effect.
I'm a big guy, 6' 6" 320lbs, and my stomach was already tight and bloated. I began taking these after a friend recommended that I do so. I'm glad I did because I've lost 16 pounds and my movements have improved dramatically, and these are the only changes I've made. br>Belly is soft and squishy, no longer bloated!.
This probiotic was recommended in an interview with Dr. Steven Gundry (author of The Plant Paradox). Normally, I opt for brands that contain at least ten different bacteria strains, so this was a departure for me. It was only because of his recommendation that I tried it, and I'm glad I did. Within 48 hours of taking the first pill, I noticed a noticeable difference in my digestion. I'll keep switching probiotic brands once a month to avoid an overgrowth of one type of bacteria, but this one will definitely be in my regular rotation from now on.
For me, this product has saved my life. I'm suffering from severe GERD and stomach issues. I was able to reduce my medication significantly after starting this, and my stomach issues were no longer an issue. This is a product that I will never be without again.
For some reason, I keep expecting supplements to be healthy and beneficial to your health. Simply reading the ingredient list proves me wrong again and again. Don't be fooled by the sales pitch; there are far better products available.
I've spent a lot of money on various supplements, probiotics (name brand and store brand), and medication in the hopes of finding a less expensive alternative to DA to combat digestive issues while traveling and staying in developing countries, but nothing has worked as well as DA without causing me any negative side effects. From now on, I'll be using Digestive Advantage exclusively.
Then there was this one time. I've been using this product for a long time and it's fantastic. My platelet count began to drop one day. I spent weeks in the hospital and was subjected to a variety of treatments that were, to say the least, unpleasant; however, once I stopped taking them, things began to improve. After a six-month hiatus, I resumed taking this medication, and my platelet count plummeted once more. It could just be a coincidence, but my count went back up as soon as I stopped taking them. I will not take them again, and I will not recommend them to friends or family.
