Puritans Pride Lutein 6 Mg With Zeaxanthin Softgels, 100 Count

It was a formula of Puritan's Pride Lutein 6 mg eye vitamins that I ordered. Upon receiving the package, I opened the bottle and counted the number of beans. As opposed to the 200 softgels stated on the label, there were only 155. It sounds like either Puritan's Pride has a quality control problem or they cheat the entire population. I don't know which is worse, but it's terrible.

Lutein would be beneficial for my eyes, however my optometrist recommended that I take no more than 10 mg per day. There does not seem to be an easy way to obtain 20mg and above in most stores. In addition to only stocking the 6mg intermittently and in small quantities, CVS appeared to stock much less of it. It seems like a good source that is cost-effective.

There is no rule that more is always better, but the 6mg is difficult to come by.

With low vision and dry eyes in my early 70s, I have flares and dry eyes. I get a flare when I come in from a bright room into a dingier or darker room, and I see a bright yellow spot in the center of my eye. The eye supplement I was recommended was very expensive. That was not what I wanted to do, and the main ingredients seemed to be lutein and vitamin Therefore, I got those instead and haven't had a flare for quite some time, and I don't have to use eye drops as frequently. Two of these 6mg a day are enough for me.

The six mg pills I used to buy at CVS are now all 20 mg and more expensive, I've moved from CVS to Walgreens There is only a 6 mg need for the day. The eye medications that are expensive only contain 2 mg of the active ingredient. Previously, I had searched for the 6 mg at vitamin stores, but only found a few, and they were quite expensive, so I was very pleased to find these, especially at the price I paid. Someone complained about not getting 200 tabs, so I counted and they It looks like the bottle is half full, but its number is correct. Rather than just asking for a replacement, this individual should have asked.

Taking this eye supplement causes my eyesight to be clearer even without my glasses. This supplement has improved the health of my eyes because I take it every day. In terms of eye supplements, we currently recommend consumption of 10 mg of lutein and 2 mg of zeaxathin. Adding this product to our daily ICap that only contains 4 mg of the antioxident lutein and recommends a 2-tablet dose supplements our daily intake. Using this Puritan Pride product makes a lot of sense. Although I have not been able to confirm the added lutein benefits, I have seen many products with 20mg and even higher lutein contents. We will continue to follow our ophthalmologist's recommendations.
