The negative side is that they smudge so much more easily than my other reading glasses that I have to wear them very carefully. It's very important to me to keep a lens wipe next to me every time I go outside. My other reading glasses don't smudge so easily, and some of them have a yellow tint that I perceive as making my face look strange to others. And although I know the glasses block blue light, their yellow tint is noticeable to others.
