Questions & Answers

What is the width of the frame's front?

If the WIDTH of the frame is less than the width of the frame, From temple to temple, across the front of the face - is a true 5. I wouldn't be concerned about the extra half-inch if it were only 5 inches. inch. Of course, it's dispersed on both sides. In my experience, WAY TOO MANY of these ready-to-wear glasses are already a little too narrow. Take care, as I doubt anyone will notice.

Will the lenses be ruined if you use a glass cleaner?

These lenses can be cleaned with regular glass cleaner. There were no problems at all. Mine is clean. Once a week, twice a week, and once a month, respectively.

What is the focal length of the lens?

height

I'm asking you to respond only if you've done this before: how convenient is it to look at (with an approximate diagonal of 22-inches)? What is the size of a 24-inch computer monitor?

My monitor has an 18-inch diagonal, so wearing glasses isn't an issue for me. I hope this has been of assistance.

I'm so glad I came across these on Amazon
5/5

I'm 68 years old and have worn prescription glasses since I was about ten years old. For the past few years, I've relied on over-the-counter reading glasses to assist me with reading and close-up work. Each year, it seemed as if I was increasing my strength to the point where they didn't work at all, regardless of the strength, and my overall vision was poor. Because I am diabetic, I have a full eye exam once a year to ensure that I maintain my vision. Instead of going to the local vision stores and optometrists, I had my eyes examined by an ophthalmologist this year. It turned out that a couple of cataracts were the cause of my needing to increase the strength of my reading glasses and having general vision issues. The optometrist told me a couple of times that there was a sign of the beginning of a cataract in my right eye, but it was nothing to worry about. The cataracts necessitated surgery right away, and both eyes were operated on the following week. Because of another ailment I have, Parkinson's disease, and head tremors, it was decided to use general anesthesia on both eyes at the same time. Because this would require an overnight stay in the hospital, I requested and received permission to have both eyes done at the same time. The surgery went off without a hitch, and no one who hasn't had it will be able to appreciate the dramatic improvement in vision. Prior to surgery, I was offered a treatment that would correct both near and far vision, but Medicare will only cover single vision procedures, which cost $4500 extra. I chose to fix my distance vision rather than my closeup vision for 00 per eye. It meant I could get prescription reading glasses, but I already had them, so I didn't think it was a problem. At my final eye exam, it was determined that over-the-counter reading glasses would suffice, with a magnification strength of 2 for normal reading and a magnification strength of 2 for close reading. 5 stars for the intricate work and fine print. The following is a summary of the second. br>br>Amazon has such a large selection of non-prescription reading glasses that finding the right pair can be difficult. After a half-hour or so, I decided on the Double Take. The fact that they are almost half-framed appealed to me. This enables me to read while simultaneously looking over the top frame to see both the computer screen and the television. My grandmother used to do this with her prescription reading glasses, and I thought it was amusing. It's now the ideal solution for me. The spring hinged bows are another feature I like about these glasses. This feature allows you to position your glasses in a specific position, allowing you to watch TV and read without having to look away from the screen. The frames are of decent quality, not quite as good as an expensive pair purchased from an optician, but close enough. The lenses themselves do not appear to distort as much as some of my other lenses over the years, which is fantastic. It's almost as if you're not aware that you're wearing glasses. Overall, I've had a great time wearing these glasses so far. For one pair, the price is great, but for two, it's fantastic. There are two of them now, one at my desk and the other in my bedroom. Now, with all of the positives mentioned, there is one drawback that I believe I should address. The inclusion of a hard case for each pair as well as a microfiber cleaning cloth is a nice gesture, but the hard cases are extremely difficult to use. You must position the glasses in a specific way, or the spring-loaded hinge will clamp down on one or both of the bows. It's simpler to simply place them in a secure location. br>br>I'm very pleased with these glasses and have no reservations in recommending them to others. The price, the materials used in production, the lack of distortion, and the spring hinged bows combine to make these the best I've ever worn. The only flaw is the too small hard case, but it isn't significant enough to detract even a half-star. br>br>I must add that anyone who has or suspects they may have cataracts should have their eyes examined. If surgery is required or recommended, it should be carried out. I can't describe how wonderful the world looks through eyes that are free of cataracts; your brain gets so used to failing eyesight that you just let it go.

Excellent value for money, excellent fit, and a long-lasting case
5/5

I looked all over for my first pair of reading glasses and came across this set of two with cases for less than the price of one pair at the local pharmacy. I'm very pleased with the quality of these glasses; they fit well and the cases appear to be quite durable; they also came with a microfiber cleaning cloth. Despite the fact that I have a larger head than most, the spring-loaded Earpieces do not cause me any discomfort.

Don't think, just buy; amazing glasses for twice the price You will not be disappointed
5/5

br>I had no idea what to expect when I ordered these glasses, but I was blown away when they arrived. They are the best deal I've ever found on Amazon for glasses. The glasses are well-made, with spring hinges that prevent the frame from flexing. As with more expensive frames, the arms are screwed in place. The nose pads are soft and mounted on flexible hinges, allowing them to adjust to your nose rather than your nose adjusting to them. When the glasses are worn close to the tip of your nose, the arms are long and provide a secure fit. They come with a sturdy metal case and a large cleaning cloth (just like I do). At $11. They're a bargain at $99 for a pair. The best part is that for that price, you get two pairs, both of the same high quality. I know I sound like I own the company, but I have no ties to it and was not compensated for this review. It's just that they're fantastic.

Since cataract surgery left me with 20/20 distance vision but poor close-up vision, I need Readers to read, cook, work with tools, and so on
5/5

I've tried more than 10 different Readers and these are by far the best. Not only are the lenses the clearest, but the size and shape of them allow me to look over the top, rather than through the lens. My job requires me to alternate between close up and distance viewing for the majority of the day. The other Readers' on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off, I've only had them for a few weeks, so I'm not sure how well they'll hold up, but since the order came with two pairs, I'll still have one if the first pair breaks.

Good readers at a low cost
5/5

These reading glasses are the lightest and most adaptable I've ever owned. And don't listen to the trolls who say the optics aren't up to par. From rim to rim, they're fantastic. I should also point out that they are constructed from high-quality materials. high-quality metal rims with adjustable nose pad and ear-pad widths They are made of very light materials and come in a variety of sizes. This was crucial for me so that they didn't slide down and become uncomfortable. br>br>I've had a couple of store-related issues. I bought some readers, and while they worked fine, even the lightest ones were fairly heavy. This meant that even if I wore them for a few hours, they would leave indentations in my nose, which made them uncomfortable. The earpieces were also only slightly adjustable, which caused them to slide down my nose. So I tried the adhesive cushions, but they didn't look right and had to be replaced on a regular basis. This isn't a good idea! br>br>These glasses are excellent at dealing with both of these issues. I can't imagine how glasses from an optometrist (expensive!) could perform better than these. I also don't think they'd be worth the money. The included cases snap shut with the force of a snapping turtle, which is the only niggling criticism I have. I couldn't see how removing a star was justified because the cases are sleek, thin, and well-lined. br>br>Excellent glasses that are well worth the money!.
