Questions & Answers

Where does this product go through the manufacturing and packaging process?

Good day, RZS. Naked rice is a type of rice that is grown and processed throughout Southeast Asia. Northern California is where we package.

Aside from being vegan or not, what distinguishes rice protein from other proteins like pea protein and whey protein?

If you do some online research, you'll find articles recommending combining different protein powders to get a complete protein. For example, combining pea and rice proteins is more beneficial than using either one separately.

What is the origin of rice?

The person who inquired about the origins of the rice, not the company, was the one who asked.

Is this protein powder low in fodmaps?

Brown rice is a food that is low in FODMAPs. "Only premium organic sprouted whole grain brown rice protein" is used to make Naked Rice, according to the canister. I've been following a low-FODMAP diet and have had no issues with Naked Rice protein.

This purchase has left me extremely disappointed
3/5

This purchase has left me extremely disappointed. Naked's Organic Brown Rice Protein Powder is something I've purchased on several occasions. They have, however, made some changes to their product, either in the processing or by adding an unlisted ingredient or preservative. Alternatively, I could have been sent rancid protein powder. The most recent batch of Naked protein powder I received tasted nothing like the previous batch I had been using. It had a sour taste to it. Something strange and unpleasant, like a chemical taste. I was sick to my stomach and wanted to vomit. I attempted to contact the seller, but have yet to receive a response after nearly two weeks.

Indigestion, gas, and constipation are some of the symptoms of this condition
3/5

I've bought a lot of Naked products, including their Pea protein powder (and Brown Rice protein powder) a few times. When I took both of these products (the Pea and Rice protein) at the recommended serving size of 2 scoops per day (post weightlifting), I experienced indigestion, gas, and constipation. br>br>Because I'm vegan, I eat a very clean diet, and it took me a long time to figure out that the stomach issues I was having were caused by this protein powder. Because I didn't think this protein powder was the source of the problem, it went unnoticed for a long time. It's vegan, organic, and free of GMOs, after all. gluten-free, - unrestricted, unrestricted, unrestricted So, how could two scoops of this powder be the cause of the issue? br>br>After a lot of trial and error, I discovered that my stomach issues were caused by the Naked protein powders. I've never had a stomach problem since I stopped taking their protein powder. br>br>By the way, I don't have any food allergies. As a result, the issue is with the protein powder manufacturing process. I simply wanted to write this review to inform potential buyers of this protein powder so that they can pinpoint the source of their stomach issues. I also wanted to make Naked Nutrition aware of the issue so that they can be more careful about what they sell.

Making shit fumes like it's a fashion statement
3/5

For the past four years, I've been eating brown rice every day. I purchased two 5-pound bags. pound tubs of Naked Rice to be used as a 150g protein source per day during heavy weight training Naked appears to be employing a substandard technique. Because I mixed 25-pounds of rice every time I mixed 25-pounds of rice, I had to source rice. I'd fart the most noxious farts until my next bowel movement if I had 75g for a drink. During the six weeks that I used the Naked Rice protein powder, I was fortunate enough to be able to work from home. I'm pretty sure I'd have been kicked out of every venue I went to if I hadn't done so.

Is it possible that it's all a bit too good to be true? That could very well be the case
3/5

So, I don't usually write reviews on Amazon, but I believe that this product deserves some attention beyond what others have said. br>br>First and foremost, this is a delicious protein; I'm pleasantly surprised that it doesn't taste like garbage for a simple plant-based protein. When you consider the cost per pound, the amount of protein you get per serving, and the fact that it's an "organic" product, you'll see that this is a good deal, especially when you consider how homogeneous the protein market is. br>br>I went ahead and purchased this product from Naked, along with their chocpb and casein, which I thought were a great deal, and I was pretty excited to get my hands on it after reading all of the positive reviews on Amazon. br>br>Shortly after, I did some research on plant-based protein out of curiosity and was alarmed by some reviews and sources claiming that contaminates could be present in plant-based proteins like this one. Though, on the other hand, there isn't much research out there to support this (along with everyone's open-ended opinion on the subject). ended), but what really piqued my interest was the fact that this product is being marketed as an organic product. br>br>The reason for this alarmed me is that when I searched the USDA's organic integrity database for this company, their name didn't appear anywhere. I then went to the CCOF website (the agency through which Naked claims to have received organic certification) and searched their registry for this company, but nothing came up. br>br>At this point, I was perplexed as to how such a thing could have occurred. I then emailed Naked and asked who they were doing business with to confirm that this product was truly organic, and they informed me that they are labeling their product as organic based on their co-workers' opinions. This product (from whoever the third-party manufacturer is) is said to be registered with the CCOF as being certified organic. I don't mind private labeling, and if it means I can get protein for less money, I'm all for it. The only issue is that Naked informed me that they do not provide the names of their alleged co-workers. Packer is a name that intrigues me and makes me worry about my own safety. I'm not sure if I should take it in the first place. I understand if you as a company don't want to reveal the name of your third-party manufacturer so that your competitors learn about your strategy (which is understandable given how fragmented the market is), but not being transparent to that point lends credibility to many of their claims. br>br>It was undoubtedly my own ignorance that I did not do my due diligence before purchasing their products, but I believe that those considering doing so should think twice: they label their product as organic when their name does not appear on the label- They state that their product is "HEAVY METALS AND MELAMINE TESTED:" in any database (in which they claim that their product being organic is a false claim in and of itself). Our Naked Organic Sprouted Brown Rice Protein has been independently tested for heavy metals and is melamine-free" (which is kind of contradictory because they're privately labeling a product that clearly isn't made by them, so what claim backs this up? ), and finally, they use seals on their 5lb product to indicate that it is organic, but why not on their 1/lb product?br>br>I had high hopes for this company and this product as the exact value proposition of what it claims to be when it is not. br>br>"Naked Rice: Premium Organic Brown Rice With Nothing To Hide" should be changed to "Naked Rice: Premium Organic Brown Rice With Many Things To Hide. ".

Discouraged: Wow, this is a disaster
3/5

I purchased it because I adore the Naked Peas' version. Because I consume protein shakes on a regular basis, I wanted to add some variety to my diet. This brand, I understand, is more about the simple ingredients and awesome macros than it is about how good it tastes. However, I've never had a protein powder that was so TEXTURED! At first, I assumed I hadn't added enough water or blended long enough, but that wasn't the case. It tasted like dirt, smelled like a fart, and felt like sand was covering my mouth as I drank it. I can live with the taste, but I can't stand how filthy it smells. Now I'm stuck with a large tub of protein that will either be thrown away or used in excruciating pain. I suppose you should be aware, lol.

If you can get past the taste, this is a good vegan protein source
4/5

I've been looking for a good vegan protein source that doesn't contain soy for a long time. I've been avoiding dairy, so whey protein isn't an option for me, and I've tried a variety of pea protein powders, but they've all left me feeling bloated and gassy. br>However, I discovered this gem, and I'm no longer experiencing gassiness or bloating. br>br>The only drawback is that the powder has a strong texture and flavor; I've tried mixing it with a variety of flavors and ingredients, but the grainy taste and texture persists no matter how powerful the blender or flavor. br>br>I've grown accustomed to the flavor and it's no longer an issue for me. In the end, it's an excellent protein supplement that won't make you sick. That's a keeper, in my opinion.
