Questions & Answers

Does your Hemp Pro 70 go through any hexane processing?

No, I don't believe so. Hexane isn't used to make powder; instead, it's used to extract oil. Cold-pressed oil is produced by the company. The company is also certified organic by a Canadian government agency that issues such certifications. It's not difficult to find information about this on the internet.

Why did the price increase by threefold in just three weeks?

Our OrganicoVitamins store has a price of $36 listed. As of this morning, the total number of people has reached 99.

Is it necessary to chill this?

Yes, it's best if you keep it in the fridge. Manitoba has suggested it.

Is this going to help you lose weight or bulk up?

It boosts the protein content of my smoothies. It doesn't offer much in the way of volume.

I like the product, but because it's advertised and sold as a supplement, the manufacturer should include the amino acid profile on the packaging. An amino acid profile on the packaging will allow customers to identify which amino acids are lacking so that we know what other protein sources to pair it with. Plant proteins like hemp and pea are said to have a complete set of amino acids, but one or two of them tend to be on the low side; an amino acid profile on the packaging will allow customers to identify which amino acids are lacking so that we know what other protein sources to pair it with. br>br>Please include a list of amino acids on the packaging.

There's a trick to getting this stuff to taste good, you know
5/5

OIL! Here's a quick and easy way to consume 20 grams of protein in under 30 seconds.
- 1 serving Hemp PP (4 tbsp)br>- 1 tbsp avocado oil per servingbr>- 1 tsp. sodium bicarbonatebr>- 8 oz. of water Blend for ten minutes. br>br> Enjoy for 20 seconds on high! br>br>I came across this recipe by accident the other night while taste-testing the powder (which I intended to use for baking) and being completely disgusted. In a last-ditch effort to save my tongue, I threw a dash of Avocado oil and salt into my cup and blended it. WOW! I couldn't take my eyes away from the cup! When I first tried a similar powder from TJ's, I was ecstatic at the prospect of using hemp as a protein supplement instead of milk or whey. The flavor and texture, on the other hand, were both shocking. It was HORRIBLY HORRIBLY HORRIBLY HORRIBLE Who in their right mind would put this in a smoothie? I was using peanut butter, banana, and almond milk in my smoothies at the time, and they tasted great on their own (or with whey protein), and I looked forward to my morning meal on a regular basis. My breakfasts, on the other hand, were completely ruined by that powder. I gave up on the stuff because I couldn't figure it out. br>br>Now that I'm on an extremely strict diet due to an overactive immune system, I've been looking into alternative food sources to help me broaden my palate while also meeting my nutritional needs. For the past few weeks, I've been eating only organic meat (chicken and beef), and while my grilling skills have improved dramatically as a result, I've grown tired of eating farm animals every day. Protein powder is making a comeback. When I was researching hemp seeds as a protein source, I came across the idea of baking them into breads. It appears that some people have figured out how to bake high-protein foods. high-quality protein fiber breads made with hemp powder (as stated on the package) rather than just the seeds. br>br>This incredibly nutritious food CAN be transformed into delectable dishes. Just keep at it!.

(Revised Review) Excellent product! This section is out of date
5/5

For revision, please see the list below. br>br>I can't speak to the nutritional value because I've only tried it twice, but what have I done? I'm at a loss for how to make this stuff taste good. This substance is extremely difficult to dissolve. It's also difficult to incorporate into yogurt because it has a consistency similar to flour. I really wanted to believe in this product, but the flavor is awful. I'll update this review once I figure out how to consume it properly. br>br>Attached is my attempt at combining a serving of raspberries and blackberries with a container of Greek yogurt. br>br>It's time for an update. You can get used to and somewhat subdue the overpowering taste if you work hard enough! I use the following recipe:br>6 tbsp Manitoba Harvest Hemp Pro 70 Proteinbr>1 heaping tbsp crunchy peanut butter (good legume protein and nice flavor/texture)br>2 cups (roughly) chocolate almond milkbr>br>I used to use an unsweetened chocolate almond milk and added in 12 raspberries (or 6 raspberries, 6 blackberries It's a lot easier on my stomach than whey, and I believe the plant-based component contributes to that. My weight loss has been aided by a plant-based diet. loss goals (but that could just be because there's less sugar, and because hemp is so filling, I usually just eat an apple instead of my breakfast cereal after taking it). Regardless, this is a product that I highly recommend!!.

There's a lot of oregano in this protein powder, and it doesn't taste anything like oregano seeds
4/5

I bought the product after comparing the serving size/price to hemp seeds sold by the same company, which provide excellent protein and have a pleasant taste in oatmeal, smoothies, and other dishes. HOWEVER, this product was the polar opposite. I'm not new to raw or natural foods. I drink about 3 cups of matcha green tea per day, without any almond milk or sugar. There is no herbal flavor to the protein powder. It tastes exactly like oregano, and I tried it with almond milk and peanut butter, as well as a banana later. The oregano has a strong presence. I've enjoyed hemp seed shakes without the banana on several occasions. It appears to be a low-cost protein powder with excellent nutritional value, but the flavor is strange. I noticed that the balanced protein powder does not contain oregano as a preservative, so that'll be the next thing I try. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. The oregano is my favorite! After a week, the taste becomes tolerable. Maybe the oregano isn't as concentrated as it should be throughout the container. I blend 4 tbsp with 8 oz unsweetened almond milk for about 30 seconds. After resistance exercise, there is no bloating or gas, and the recovery is incredible!.

For smoothies, oatmeal, and baking, this is a good protein supplement
5/5

Although the fiber in other hemp products is nice, I like that this is soluble and works well in drinks/smoothies and I repurchased it because I liked it so much the first time! I usually blend it with milk and fruit or mix it with juice, but I always have to use the blender because this product clumps in a shaker bottle. It has an earthy flavor to it, but it tastes healthy and natural, which I prefer to flavored protein mixes. I've tried plain brown rice protein and pea protein, but I prefer hemp's flavor. It's great in muffins and oatmeal, too.
