This generation's technology is inferior to the prior generation's technology

Though still an acceptable protein bar, the second generation of the chocolate peanut butter Clif Builders Bars is vastly inferior to the first generation.
Chewy, cookie-like material sat on top of a less dense chewy bed that included crispy bits for a mild but effortless crunch in the previous version. I enjoyed the flavor of the peanut butter combined with chocolate highlights, which did not seem overly sweet. Despite the textures' differences, they were pleasing to the touch and to the palate. The current version has a somewhat chalky consistency and is uniform in texture. However, the mealy texture undermines the gustatory experience similar to the previous version with similar flavors. In the hope that a criterion number of similar reviews will eventually force the manufacturer to revert to the former formula, we hope to see the former formula reintroduced this summer.

They are no longer what they once were

Although I love these bars, I have noticed that they seem to be mealy in the last few boxes I have ordered. Although I am not sure if the recipe has changed, they are not expired, so I am not sure, but they definitely have a mealy taste and are crumblier than the ones I've had previously.

The results were different from what we It is not fair you can have 6 bars for the price of Target sold 12 bars for 27 $ but I bought 8 for 8! I don't know what to tell you about the taste because it's so different! They will not be purchased again by me!

It's really fun to build cliffs with The ingredients are good, and they don't have any dairy products, which are important One nit was that the bars were near their "Best Before" dates. I would have rated them 5 stars if it hadn't been for that.

These bars are a quick snack that I still rely on even though I liked the old formula better. When you are not sure when you will be able to eat a full meal, having these in your bag is a good idea.
