Clif bars do not contain gluten directly (there is no wheat or gluten products added), but they do contain oats, which are frequently contaminated by wheat (wheat seeds blow into oat fields). Clif claims that their oats are gluten-free, but this is not a guarantee. As a result, they could contain trace amounts of wheat, which could be problematic for people who have celiac disease or have a high gluten sensitivity. YMMV because I have a mild wheat allergy and they don't bother me.
CLIF BAR Energy Bars are manufactured in the United States, with a few products manufactured in Canada.
There is no whey protein in these because they are made from soy protein.
Although some flavors, such as Blueberry Crisp, Peanut Butter Crunch, and Peanut Toffee Buzz, have crunchy bits, they are chewy.

I've been buying Clif Energy Bars for a long time, and my favorite flavor is Chocolate Chip. my favorite flavor, hands down Each bite is decadent and satisfying thanks to the abundance of chocolate chunks rolled into this bar. The best thing about Clif Bars is: They don't crumble, break apart, melt, or become mushy like a lot of other nutrition, meal replacement, energy, and protein bars do. I used to bring one to work with me every day to eat during my two-hour lunch break. Because I could put one in my bag during my 12-hour shift and it would still be intact and edible afterward, regardless of whether my bag was moved around, thrown around, stepped on, or squished, the consistency and texture of these bars were ideal for my arduous 12-hour work days. I also like that they're made with organic, whole foods and don't contain any artificial ingredients, dairy, or GMOs. br>br>If, like me, you don't always have the money or time to sit down and eat a full meal, these bars are a great way to get the carbs, protein, fat, fiber, vitamins, and minerals your body requires in one convenient package. br>br>I hope you found my review and photos to be helpful. I do a lot of my work outside in Southwest Florida's heat and humidity. Dehydration and sun stroke are constant companions in a climate that consistently exceeds 100 degrees for the majority of the year. It's important to drink plenty of water, but it's also a good idea to supplement with Gatorade or Powerade to get some extra nutrients. You don't want to experience heat stroke again if you've had it before. br>br>While the Chocolate Chip Energy Bar is delicious on its own, the Blueberry Crisp Energy Bar is my favorite among the Clif products. It's Clif's first bar, and I prefer it to the others in terms of taste. The Blueberry bar, on the other hand, is sometimes either overpriced or difficult to come by. In that case, Chocolate Chip is a no-brainer for me. BUT, I've also come across the Chocolate Brownie bars. For those of us who have a sweet tooth, that's a real treat!.
These bars are my favorite, but they can be pricey at times. I buy these when I don't have time to prepare anything and need a quick breakfast. These satisfy my hunger better than anything else, and they're delicious! To put it another way, I like Luna bars and despise Lara bars. The flavor is VERY YUMMY - Most likely because sugar is the first ingredient in syrup (wish they didn't use so much). However, because rolled oats come in second, it isn't too bad. It has a slight protein powder flavor to it, but it's not overpowering. These are one of my go-to snacks for taking with me on the go - especially as a working mother who is constantly hungry. br>br>Amazon has these for a great price!.
The quality of the bars has recently deteriorated dramatically. The raisins are missing from the oatmeal raisin bars, and there are almost no blueberries in the blueberry bars. The changes could have been made in an attempt to cut production costs or simply due to a lack of attention to process by the production staff. We'll have to wait and see if the next box meets the same high standards as the previous one, or if this is just a temporary glitch.
Clif Bars are one of my favorite snacks. br>br>They're best for long-duration, high-intensity activities like hiking, mountaineering, or other activities depicted on Clif Bar packaging. There are enough simple and complex carbohydrates to provide energy for both short and long periods of time. And they're tasty enough that I can eat them even when I'm sick with altitude sickness and can't eat anything else. br>br>They're also good snacks for when I'm sitting at my desk at work, on planes, or just having a long day. Other flavors are occasionally added, but Luna or Clif are always present. Great flavor, not too sweet, and a chewy texture that I like. I make a cup of hot tea and grab a Clif bar first thing in the morning at work, and then the hectic day begins. I can assure you that I keep track of my reordering!.
It was my first time ordering food from Amazon, and I was surprised to discover that they were still good for another 16 months. I checked my local store and found some that were about to expire in 9 months. br>Great outdoor snacks. Great energy boost, but don't forget to drink plenty of water afterwards! It's not a Snickers, so take your time eating it.
