The fabric is soft but not slick, and it washes easily. The loft is a little high for us, and because I'm small, the angle can be unsettling at first. The foam is extremely dense and does not compress easily, which is a great feature. Although it claims to be suitable for travel, I believe it is far too large for most travel situations- It took up about a third of our medium-sized suitcase, which is a significant amount of packing space to lose, especially with airlines' ridiculous luggage requirements and fees. I wish they would make this style of pillow in a smaller size--one that isn't quite as wide would be ideal for travel. I also wish they sold the covers separately; I'd particularly like to buy one without the huge logo on the side, which would normally make it look like a GERD pillow, but the logo is huge and makes it obvious what it is. It's not a big deal most of the time, but it can be annoying to remember to put it away when visitors arrive and you need to use the bathroom!.
