It didn't work for the shock element. I figured it might just be that it wasn't fully charged, so I let it charge overnight and it still didn't work. The way the buttons on the remote are configured is also not very user-friendly. One turns on vibration and the other turns on movement, but you have to press both together to turn on the shock part, so you get everything just right for her and then when you try to turn on the whole reason we bought it, you end up changing everything and no shock, which is a letdown at the worst possible time.

I've paid a lot more for a piece of plastic, but this is a high-quality device. This device is simple to operate and effectively massages the prostate gland - I discovered this and was very impressed because it was frequently recommended by my doctor. So the wiggle motion is great, and the vibration is great as well. Where this toy falls short is in two areas: 1) it's a tad too narrow, causing it to slip out when it should stay in, requiring you to hold it, and 2) the electric shock function. While it feels great, turning it on is a pain in the*, to use a pun. Because there is no button for it on the controller, you must press wiggle and vibrate at the same time to activate it, which can be a little annoying. I would consider it a necessity if/when they produce a product that addresses the issues mentioned above. However, I continue to suggest this product.
