They are extremely accurate and effective at removing sprinters and ingrown hairs. I've used it for both of these purposes. I'm just not sure why they're so expensive; I have some jewelry tools that are handcrafted in Germany and are more complex than these, but they're about the same price (granted, they're not gold plated). The up-to-date version of this review was written at the time of its publication. cost of gold plating vs. cost of gold plating The stainless steel will set you back ten dollars. That's all right. However, for a lot less money, there are other splinter tweezers on Amazon that have excellent reviews. And for this price, I'd expect more than drugstore packaging. I was hoping for a nice case to protect it and keep it clean. They could then be used as a nice gift item and have a more upscale feel to them. br>So, why are there four instead of three stars? I gave this product four stars because it does an excellent job of removing splinters and ingrown hairs. They are excellent at what they do. It's up to you to decide if they're worth the money. I wouldn't buy them again if I had the option. I don't think anyone will mistake these for $50 tweezers just by looking at them.
These are fine-tipped tweezers with a very thin tip. Because they are so small and thin, they can be a little difficult to grasp. I wouldn't recommend them if you have large hands. br>br>The point is razor sharp and very fine, and I believe the purpose is to nip the top of the skin so that the ingrown hair can be pulled out. br>br>I thought they'd be good for fine work, but I prefer to use larger, heavier tweezers. If you buy them, make sure the tiny cap on the tips is replaced. They appear to be quite delicate.
I can't imagine splinters or ingrown hairs escaping their grasp because they're so sharp and the point is so fine. br>br>Prosbr>Finely tapered (sharp)br>Precision made for tip alignmentbr>Made from Rustproof Surgical Stainless Steelbr>Comes with Tip Guard (Necessary because these things are really sharp)br>br>Consbr>A little Priceybr>br>.
You can remove it as long as it is visible. br>The tips do not overlap or move from side to side. br>br>I admit the price is a little high, but you can tell it's a high-quality instrument. br>br>4 out of 5 br>br>br>br>br>br.
Although this is far superior to cheap drugstore tweezers, I was unable to remove a splinter with it because it was not precise enough.
