I have a nickel allergy, so I use this to shave because it doesn't irritate my skin. Because the blade is nickel-free, it will rust more quickly when you get out of the shower, so you may need to dry it by hand. Your bathroom's humidity level will determine how long it takes to dry. However, I found it to be well worth the effort.
No, I don't believe that is the case. Vegan plastic is a relatively new product that isn't easily recyclable for everyday use. In practice, it's unlikely to be separated from other available plastic made from petroleum (petroleum=animal product), and so-called "vegan plastic" chokes whales and pollutes fish estuaries just as much as petroleum plastic when used and disposed of as intended. "Cruelty Free" is a label that is not governed by any set of rules or practices.
The preserve shave 5 blade must be purchased. The triple blades have a different attachment.
Only one razor was available when I bought it. The handle and one razor head are included in the package, and you must attach them yourself. The fact that there was only one surprised me, but the razor shaves extremely close. It's the closest shave I've ever had (but proceed with caution!). It hasn't been ruined or smeared with shaving cream yet. It was money well spent.

This item isn't cheap, which is why I put it off for so long. One, it has a sturdy handle and only one refillable razor (five blades in one - Despite one sad reviewer's confusion, there was not a single blade with five refills). Personally, I've used razors made by companies that aren't affiliated with animal testing. They didn't even come close to Preserve's creation in terms of loftiness. Personally, I have no desire to purchase from a large corporation that I am aware conducts animal testing, but finding a good razor has proven difficult. So, after purchasing this item, I decided to wait until I had used it before writing a review. I'm content with myself. Pleased. This is a fantastic investment opportunity. I'm relieved, to tell you the truth. The actual blades did not rust, unlike other vegan razor companies (sorry for the shade), and the lubrication strip did not fade after one or two uses; it is long lasting. It's a good product, but not in the sense that it's "vegan-friendly" - It's of good quality. It's also beneficial to the environment. It was a wise decision to purchase this item.
Itching or rashes caused by allergies. The Preserve razor is one of my favorites! I was getting horrible rashes on my legs after shaving, and it turns out that I'm allergic to nickel, which is found in traditional razors. My rash and itching are no longer present. br>br>I didn't care for Preserve razors when I first tried them years ago, but they've improved their design dramatically since then. They're now more stable than Venus and other traditional women's razors I've tried in the past. br>br>I also like that they're environmentally friendly. Preserve toothbrushes are also environmentally friendly, which is why I use and recommend them - They are also free of BPA. All good!.
The razor's slim profile and lack of a bulky handle appeal to me. I also like the fact that the blade isn't surrounded by a massive moisturizing block. But, while I appreciate the use of recycled materials, They rust quickly, as others have stated. I've been using it for two weeks now, and I'm on my third blade. So, by discarding used blades more frequently, am I now defeating the purpose?.
I bought these for my daughter, and at first I thought 5 blade meant it came with four refills, but that was incorrect; it only came with one 5 blade cartridge. My apologies for the error. The blades, however, were severely rusted after just one use and two days. Maybe it's our fault, but most razors on the market today aren't capable of doing so. However, I discovered that the handle fits another brand that is more readily available and less likely to rust, so we're still using it.
I wanted to get an eco-friendly razor after switching to cruelty-free and non-toxic beauty products. This razor is extremely flimsy, and according to other reviews, the razor head popped off every time it fell in the shower. I also got serious razor burn from this product. In the end, I had to send it back. I'm still looking for a cruelty-free and environmentally friendly razor.
I was let down. This seller, I believe, intends for buyers to believe they are purchasing three razors rather than just one. Why not show a single razor in the main photo (or put "ONE RAZOR" in the item title) and then show different color variations in subsequent photos? br>Even in the Product Description, it isn't stated until more than halfway through the overly wordy text that this listing is for a single razor. There's no new paragraph or bold font to draw customers' attention to that fact (who are probably skimming the text by that point because, honestly, who needs so many repetitive details about a razor?). True, the seller cannot be accused of failing to specify the number of items in this listing. That, however, is merely a technicality. br>If the seller cared about informing buyers, they wouldn't be so evasive about specifying exactly what is being purchased. br>The razor itself is adequate; it isn't ineffective, but it isn't particularly close to being exceptional. shave, and it's not even close to $10!.
This razor is fantastic! I'm relieved to know they're not tested on animals and that they actually work! Most razors give you small cuts the first time you use them, but this one glided so smoothly over the knees and ankles that there were no cuts and all the hair was removed.
I've put this brand on auto-ship for her because she adores it. There will be no issues. This is the razor to get if you have a metal allergy.
