"Custom Plus" was the old name for these razors. " Gillette changed its name about ten years ago, but the razors have remained the same. They've been a part of my life for at least 25 years. This isn't a "bait and switch" situation. " It's just that those of us who have used these razors for a long time recall that they were previously known as "Custom Plus," but the product is identical. They have only recently re- "Sensor 2 Plus" was the name given to it.
It's made in Mexico, according to the box.
The membership is known as Prime. It's fantastic. There is no cost for shipping. There are a slew of other advantages as well. Almost every show or series I watch is available on Amazon Prime, and it's well worth checking out.
I have a supply of Gillette razors on hand, which I intend to use until they are depleted. I'm not going to buy anything Gilllette again after seeing their recent commercial. Next time, I'm not sure what I'll buy.

Finally, here's the bottom line: these are only useful in situations where disposable razors are required. Now for the beginning and justification: br>br> br>I switched to double edge razors after a lifetime of using disposable razors from them. I now see how the Gillette logic is flawed, because the product they replaced was actually better and less expensive. This is how it works: 1. br>br> Hair gets stuck in these stupid things all the time, but that doesn't happen with the double edge.
2. These are two stacked blades with the claim that the first pulls while the other cuts; they appear to be the same blade type visually, so the first blade is tugging rather than cutting. . . who says the second blade is any better?
3. These are actually quite costly, costing at least $0. 50 in bulk. 60, about a dollar each in smaller bags. Given the cost of Feather DE blades, that's a bad deal. While most other well-known blades, such as Shark, cost $0. 22, 06 (roughly six cents). As a result, you will be charged ten dollars. 16 times the cost of disposable plastic?
4. The only thing these blades have going for them is: You can take them on a plane with you. I'm pretty sure a double-edged blade won't be allowed in the cabin by the TSA. As a result, they may be suitable for travel. br>br>Full Disclosure: br>br> br>To be fair, after Gillette's inane attack on men, I decided to try out some other options. Why? Because responding positively to bad marketing will only make things worse. I don't agree with the trendy idea of badmouthing your own customers. Gillette, ironically, killed the goose that laid the golden egg. br>br>Old world DE shaving is better, cheaper, and, best of all, OPEN SOURCE! Double Edge is an open standard that allows you to mix and match different shavers and blades. I have the option of using a sharp blade or a mild blade today. Now I'm free of the "ecosystem. " Have you seen the fees they levy on you, ladies? They despise you, as well. br>br>I'll be extra nice and give it a 4 out of 5 star rating. I'm not sure they deserve it, but I'm a nice guy. Unfortunately, Gillette never learned how to be the best it could be.
The razor felt as if it were slicing my face with tiny cuts. It was by far the most ineffective razor I've ever used.
The price is great, but the razors are only good. I only get a couple of shaves out of each before they become dull. br>br>AND NOW, Gillette is running commercials that are demeaning to all good men around the world. br>Wake up. Go broke. I'm in the market for a new pack of razors, and Gillette is no longer an option.
These guys shaved both my neck (I keep a close beard) and my bald head, and it was the best money I've ever spent. br>br>I've been using these blades for several years and hope that whoever owns them will keep them forever. because there is nothing else on the market that comes close to doing the job without razor burn or bumps for a lower price. Periodt. br>br>I use each razor twice before the blades become dull and the razor becomes clogged. You could get more use out of a blade if you cleaned it thoroughly and dried it, but I'm too lazy to do that. br>br>10/10 recommend if you want a blade that won't irritate your otherwise sensitive skin like mine.
These are without a doubt the best razors I've ever used. I used to get them from Sams Club (which has since closed), then Costco (which has since stopped carrying them), and finally Amazon. They last twice as long as other blades, especially if you dry them thoroughly (I simply blow hard on the blades) and store them dry. I've been able to stretch them out to nearly two weeks. br>br>I tried the Gillette Triple blade with the metal handle (attached image) and it's quite heavy. It's nice and smooth, but it won't shave my beard as close as I'd like. br>br>I also tried the Gillette Custom Plus with three blades (attached image) and it's terrible. These are so hard to shave with that I can't even get a close shave. When I calculate the number of shaves I can get, both of these options cost more than triple. br>br>It's odd how the simplest and least expensive option (2 blades) works best for me. I'm curious if the triple blade options are better suited to other skin types or whiskers.
When I use this, I always get cuts. br>I'm not going to buy this again.
We used to buy these from Costco because of the discounts, but since switching to Covid, we've reduced our errands outside the house and instead browsed Amazon. These were almost exactly the same price as at Costco (maybe a dollar or two less, if my memory serves me correctly). These are, however, my favorite disposables, regardless of price. My legs and armpits benefit from them, while my husband's face and neck benefit from them. They come highly recommended by both of us. The blades are designed to last for at least two years. 3 shaves (less on my legs if I don't shave for a long time, which is exactly what happens during quarantine). They are resistant to rusting - Even when I leave it in the shower, where it gets wet all the time. They also don't irritate the user. The razors are sharp enough to remove hair (thick face hair and thin leg hair) with a single swipe of the blade, leaving no cuts behind.
For years, I've relied on Gillette Sensor 2 blades. When I used razors with more than two blades, I noticed that I had more ingrown facial hairs. I also prefer the two blades because they give me a better shave and allow me to maneuver around my nose, which was difficult with the multi-blade razor. Razors with a broad face, such as blade razors. After doing some research, I discovered that this 52-pack of razors offered the best value per razor. I try to use the razor for two weeks at a time, so this 52-razor pack will last me two years at a great price.
