It is the same item that I bought earlier last year and paid only The device is not even listed as being UL approved or listed as a UL unit? Listed as Made in China, with China as most likely home country of origin. We have already left behind the days when most Americans were simply terrified of dangerous products from China, and low-quality products. At first, it appeared to work properly. It cut easily, it didn't pull and overall it was relatively comfy. However, like some of the other reviews, it should not be necessary to bang the unit against the wall or against your palm in order for it to work! In addition to the fact that I need a nurse or aid to operate this trimmer for me, I am very meticulous about the proper use and cleaning of my things, so I make sure the battery compartment is probably closed, and that after every use it is cleaned and reassembled properly. This is why I am purchasing the same model (model - No idea what device) I have? Panasonic should tighten up their quality control and produce better results in my opinion.
