There is no aroma of bay rum in this. There's something more old fashioned about it, like barbers, old guys, and old school. The reason why my husband loves it is because it is fun- I love it. After an hour or so, it starts to get really strong. You should try GABEL'S Bay Rum if you do not already own it The fragrance of this bay rum is lovely, the quality is excellent As of 1932, made in America This is also liked by his wife- Right now, he is in the bathroom with both of them. If you're into aftershaves and colognes that are sold by short-lived pop singers (what do they know anyway), then this isn't There is no need to wear this if you like to smell like the gagging scent wafting from the mall teen clothing store that no one visits anymore. You can smell like a real man with Clubman Pinaud because it's like Cary Grant, Paul Newman, and Steve McQueen mixed together. There are some reviews that describe the smell as being "Old man. ". As an aftershave, however, I would consider that a compliment since it was created at a time when real men wanted to look strong yet dapper, a time when aftershave was in just its infancy.
