When combing, the brush is gentle because the bristles are bamboo, making for a gentle comb. I've found it to be the most effective comb I've ever used.
It isn't a missing piece, to be sure. Take a look at the description provided by the seller. It's a hole in the ceiling for air circulation. BTW, the bristles have a round head and are gentle on the scalp; I really like it and would recommend it.

I rarely leave product reviews, but I feel compelled to do so in the case of this brush! My hair is naturally curly, but I heat style it five times a week. Every week, six times. Until I ordered this, I had no idea how important it was to have a good hair brush. My hair is 10 times softer and shinier, and I have less hair falling out. When I straighten my hair, I always have to deal with static and flyaways, but this brush has made a huge difference! It has aided in the growth of my hair as well as the reduction of static in my hair! For future birthdays and holidays, I plan on giving this brush to all of my friends and family!.
My old brushes and combs couldn't handle them without me holding my hair back to keep it from ripping out of my head. It not only got through my gnarly tangles, but it also didn't pull or tug at all, which surprised me.
It's a pleasant brush to use, and it works well with my thick, wavy Asian hair. br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of drawbacks to this product. (1) It's not easy to clean it! This is an excellent brush. I have brittle grey hair that I tend to leave on my legs because it is difficult for me to reach. The tangles were easily brushed away with this brush. I like how the bristles feel; they're unlike any other brush I've used, and they feel like they're massaging my scalp. Fantastic product at a fantastic price.
I had just finished working out and had taken my hair out of a bun, so I used the brush without first using a detangling brush, and it worked beautifully. With the brush, I also got a little surprise hair band, which I thought was a really nice touch!.
This brush is fantastic. Because the bristles are rounded, I don't have to worry about it poking me in the head every time I brush. It's a nice, big size. I really like how the design is engraved.
