Questions & Answers
After speaking with Farouk about the two flat irons I've had issues with, they informed me that "their products are not to be sold on the internet and if purchased that way, the warranty is void!" "I'm not sure how they get away with it legally, but it's written on the box insert." The plug plastic on the one I bought shattering, revealing the wires. They wouldn't cover either because the other had simply stopped working. In this area, I received a thorough education. If manufactured in the United States, the model GF1001 is a fake; however, if manufactured in China, it is genuine. I bought two and only recently discovered that one is genuine and the other is fake. I ordered a replacement for the one that had a problem with the plug, but the nNoteew one is a fake. It's hit-or-miss, but even if it's genuine, they won't back it up with a warranty. I'm actually looking into the legalities of not warranting it if it's purchased online, because California has some very strict consumer laws, and I have a feeling they're breaking them. Thank you for your interest. ***On the outside of each box, it says "USA."
The iron gets hot, but reading the box, the product's writing, and the instruction booklet keeps it cool. Nothing in the room has a temperature.
Mine worked perfectly, but don't turn the heat up to maximum. As a result of the conversion, it is hotter than the marked temperature settings. 410 degrees is what I usually use; With a converter, I was able to get it to around 300 in Europe.
I did. I was unable to locate any information that was beneficial. And I couldn't keep a curl in my hair for more than 5 minutes. It's a fake, so I returned it.

To begin with, the Plug is quite unique. As you can see in the photo, the left plug is not the same as the real right plug. Second, the wire diameters are vastly dissimilar! The real one's wire isn't as thick as the fake one's, but it's still thick! Finally, the small glowing dot that indicates when it is turned on flashes on you! Unlike the real one, it is extremely irritating. The true light does not blink, but the phony light does! Please don't throw away your hard-earned cash on this. This is a complete and utter rip-off. This is being immediately returned to me.
This isn't a viable option. This does not appear to be a genuine CHI. I had my previous CHI for a long time and had a great time with it. This isn't going to work! I would not buy this product and wish I could get my money back because it heats up occasionally and is "warm" the majority of the time.
The product was incompletely assembled when it arrived. I'm not even going to give you a one. The plug was not fully assembled when it arrived. Giving this as a Christmas present would be so humiliating.
The other side of the iron does not. It doesn't work anymore. The iron does not heat on one side. I'd only had it for four months. A one-year warranty is listed on the Chi website, but Amazon only offers a 30-day return policy. What is the procedure for having an Amazon product replaced? Now I have to dial Chi's number and see what I can do.
Before it broke, I used it for about two months. It made a crackling noise at first, but it worked fine; now, unless the cord is positioned perfectly, the heat/power shuts off. The wiring that connects the iron to the cord is faulty and potentially hazardous. I missed the product's return window, and it worked fine until the wiring failed. I wish I could replace it, but I can't afford to waste any more money on it.
It exploded in my hand today as I flat ironed my bangs. I heard a loud pop, and pieces of the electric cord flew out the back. Smoke billowed from the flat iron's back as well.
This review has been in the works for nearly two years. My girlfriend adores it, and it has lasted far longer than any of her other straighteners. It's a fantastic product that I strongly suggest.
This is something you should not buy. Regrettably, I made a mistake and bought a counterfeit. This is an EXTREMELY WELL-MAINTAINED FAKE. br>With the exception of the plug area, which has warning labels, real Chi straighteners do not have any stickers on them. br>Like the numbers on a credit card, a real chi has pushed out letters next to the switch. br>They also have a small on/off switch. Is it true that it has its own "level"? br>Take note of the iron's packaging; the model is not the same as the box. These are authentic chi manuals, but you will be given a FAKE chi.
