In my opinion, there is no heavy, oily sensation. It has a silky, smooth appearance to it. My daughter's curls aren't weighed down by it. I mist it on their hair rather than spraying it on. There isn't much you need!
Yes, I believe so. Because it's a light conditioner, it comes out of the sprayer feeling "lotiony." My hair is thick and fine, but I have to dilute it in a separate bottle with water for my youngest daughter's fine hair, or it will be too heavy for her. It's well worth the effort because it works so well and smells so good.

I needed assistance as a widowed father of an eight-year-old daughter with "long and luscious" hair, as she describes it. It was filthy and tangled to the point of being unusable. I'd brush it in the morning and it'd be ratted by the time she put her jacket on. Instant tangles when she laid her head on a pillow. Hearing her whimper as I brushed out her hair was heartbreaking because I knew it was tugging at her scalp violently. Because I'm a cheapskate, I tried everything I could get my hands on. Sprays, creams, and oils are some of the most common types of cosmetics. She was mortified when I kept telling her that we should just cut her hair. Finally, I gave up and ordered this ridiculously expensive spray that would most likely be identical to the rest. br>br>I'm returning it all! This stuff is gold, pure gold. br>br> Her hair is tangle-free after a half-dozen squirts in the morning and a couple of brush strokes. All day is free. ALL DAY. This is well worth the money! br>br>.

It has a different consistency now, and it is extremely thin. Last month, I bought it. Will no longer work on any of my children's curly hair. I liked how clean it smelled. I'm so disappointed that I'll have to find someone else to do their hair for them.

This is something I really wanted to like. I couldn't contain my joy. When a product has fragrance, it should be illegal to market it with the words "free and clear. " Before I even opened the bubble envelope in which it was mailed, I could smell it. If I sprayed this on my sensitive child's head, it would be a disaster. I figured this stuff would be our savior because I'm the queen of tangled hair. In a heartbeat, she'd be sick; I'd get a migraine as a result, which would be awful. I'll be returning it. PS: I made my own solution with heated coconut oil, water, and jojoba oil and sprayed it into my daughter's tangled hair, and it worked like a charm. There are numerous recipes available online, and essential oils can be added if desired.
For the past several years, I've been using this product on my daughter's waist-length hair, which is extremely thick, fine-textured, and straight. It's without a doubt the most effective detangler I've ever used. Unlike most detanglers for kids, this one has a pleasant scent, does an excellent job of smoothing out tangles, and helps condition hair. br>br>In case anyone thinks this is a biased vegan review, I'll also include this section: I only buy from cruelty-free companies. I prefer cruelty-free products that aren't tested on animals, but I'm a firm believer in using leather whenever possible. I'm a meat-loving carnivore who not only doesn't care if a product is vegan, but who also avoids vegan products because of soy and nut allergies; however, I'll use a product that works, which this does. My daughter's hairdresser recommended this, and it's worked well enough that I've continued to use it despite the cost. The advantages are: br>br> As previously stated, there is virtually no odor, it is excellent for detangling, it lasts a long time, and it is also simple to work with. As a result, I think it's a good idea. However, there is one caveat: br>br> This hair product *remains* in the hair for an extended period of time. Because my daughter's hair is extremely long and thick, she must wash it twice a week in the summer and once a week in the winter, or it will become too dry. When we do it once a week, I've noticed that it suds up in the first rinse, and it takes me a long time to get it all out of the hair. However, it does not appear to leave a waxy buildup or anything else, so keep that in mind. br>br>The disadvantage: The new bottle has arrived. It's a nightmare situation. The spray from the old bottle is wonderful, with a black top and a valve that allows you to close it. The spray mechanism on the white bottle is AWFUL. I've been refilling the old-style size bottle and tossing the white bottle when I'm done (hey, recycling ftw). OS: Please think twice about purchasing this bottle, as it is a major flaw in an otherwise excellent product.
Using enough of this product to easily get through my daughter's hair results in too much product being left in her hair. This product was recommended to me by someone who worked with very curly hair; perhaps my daughter's hair is too fine for it; it's not bad, but I think I'll keep looking for something that helps me get through her hair while lightly moisturizing and defining her waves without leaving greasy spots, which is what this item does for us. But we're not going to waste it. It aids in hair removal. I wish there was a "light" version of this game.
