Yes, you'll need to simultaneously squeeze and twist the cap.
The personal version of the Mane 'n Tail Detangler is not the same as the Equine version. It's a lighter formula with a finer spray (better suited for human hair). You can certainly use the Equine Detangler formula on your own hair, and some people prefer to do so. As a result, it boils down to personal preference.
I couldn't find any information about the ingredients on the bottle. However, after doing some research, I discovered that it contains Dimethicone, a silicone-based compound, so the official answer is "yes, it does contain silicone."
Nope. You've made the correct decision. This is for the use of human hair. It was created with horses in mind, but because of how well it works, it has become popular with humans.

I'm not sure what kind of hair I have, and I'm not sure if it's ABCDEF, but it works! My comb brushed through my hair like butter for the first time! THIS IS AMAZING!.
Before going into the woods or fields with my Golden Retriever, I use this on him. It helps her coat stay free of burrs and other plant matter. You can use this to help get rid of burrs stuck in her coat by spraying it on the matted area and brushing the burrs out.
I was hesitant to use this on my horses because I didn't think it would be strong enough for horse hair, but I took a chance, and now their manes and tails are silky smooth and easy to brush! This is a product that I adore, and I believe my horses do as well. Overall, I believe it is a fantastic product for horses and humans alike!.
Hair tangles easily in my 8-year-old daughter's hair. I read all of the product reviews and decided to take a chance on this one. It certainly aids the situation. After washing, spray it on and bush it. It's best not to walk on the floors because this can lead to slips and falls. I intend to buy something else in the future.
I assumed it was the equine one based on the label, so I returned it. However, after trying it on one strand of my hair, I fell in love with it and decided to keep it instead of returning it. I have 4C hair and was able to do a low ponytail (lmao, guess that's why I was able to do a PONY tail lol) without the "bump" in the middle. It was perfectly smooth and flat! Low buns also come with the risk of a "bump" in the middle, as anyone with untamed natural hair knows! I'm very happy with the product, and two of my natural hair friends tried it and loved it so much that they ordered it as well.
This aided the removal of my older cousin's hair, which was all tangled up in a ball. I think the product is fantastic and would purchase it again.
I strongly advise you to buy this book. My haflinger/cross had an abundance of cockleburs on her long forelock. Her forelock was almost straight out from her forehead because it was so thick with burrs. I sprayed 'Straight Arrow Mane N Tail Detangler' all over her forelock out of desperation. The burrs came out with little difficulty, much to my surprise. The detangler made her hair so slick that the burrs came out with little effort, and her hair stayed untangled for several days, making it easy to comb burrs out. It's a fantastic product! And I strongly advise you to do so.
