Questions & Answers
Hi there. This has sulfate in it.
This is a set of shampoo and conditioner. I'm aware that this package is less expensive than the one we have at Costco.
It makes my hair less frizzy; I have naturally curly hair that is lightened professionally. It also has a wonderful aroma!
It's only a pair of shoes, after all. There is only one shampoo and conditioner to use.

For years, I used this shampoo and conditioner set and was satisfied with the way my hair smelled and felt. However, I was perplexed after my most recent purchase - It smelled like an elderly lady's perfume, applied by an elderly lady who had forgotten to spritz a few times - It had a strong flavor! I contacted Dove, who admitted that their formula had changed, and while I'm sure it will still clean and condition your hair, I cannot recommend this product.
This is the shampoo and conditioner that I use the most. Costco no longer carries it, so I had to order the large ones with the pumps online.
My hair is medium length and straight. However, because my hair is much thinner than most people's, I avoid using chemicals on it (and I don't use a hair dryer). I've tried a lot of shampoos and conditioners, but none of them compare to Dove. I've been using Dove for nearly ten years. Dove is gentle, doesn't use harsh chemicals (in my experience), and is reasonably priced. There are no allergies that I am aware of. I use it at least once a week, if not twice (I wash my hair every day and use oil before applying any shampoo), so I can't comment on that point of view. It's likely that you're aware that conditioners should not be applied to the scalp directly. Dove is in the same boat.
These appear to be phony doves to me. I've been using Dove for years, and these were clearly counterfeit products.
Despite the fact that the shipping box was intact, the product arrived completely broken, with the pumps cracked and shampoo/conditioner spilled all over the inside of the box. I could understand if the box had been damaged or if it had been thrown around, but it was in perfect condition.
It's perfectly acceptable. I had hoped for more after reading the positive reviews. It's nothing special, nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to shampoo from the drugstore. The shampoo, on the other hand, wasn't bad at all - The conditioner was fairly drying, though it was thick and lathered well. I had to use a lot of it just to get my hair to feel normal (and I don't have dry hair normally). I'm not going to buy anything else.
The scent of this shampoo conditioner is VERY strong. such as odor Anyone with sensitive skin should avoid this product. It's unusable for me because the smell / fragrance is so overpowering.
So when I asked my hairdresser which drugstore shampoo she uses, she recommended this set, claiming that it was the only drugstore brand with ingredients comparable to salon products. This is the family's go-to spot now. to clean the hair The conditioner is my favorite. It definitely makes my hair softer than the Aussie conditioner I've been using for years.
