Yep! However, if you have long, thick hair, you should purchase multiple kits. It's great for color-treated hair, but the powder isn't very thick. When I lightened my hair, it was shoulder length, and while it is thin, I have a lot of it, so I almost needed two kits. That is my ONE criticism of this product; it did not cause me any harm, I had no issues with over-drying or over-processing, it lightened quickly, and it was otherwise excellent; the only problem was that there was not enough powder. br>If you wrap your hair in a towel and put on a shower cap (or a grocery store bag if you're poor like me), it will dry much faster. If you don't, you'll end up with overprocessing and drying due to the fact that it's left on for too long. Just my two cents on the subject. Best of luck!
I do not recommend using a 40 vol developer on your hair because it is stronger. It works quickly to rip open the cuticle and can cause severe damage, including permanent bald spots, in a matter of seconds. Make use of the 30 volume. Even on dark hair, it will do the trick. If your hair is turning orange or brassy, use a toner or make your own by combining blue and purple dye in conditioner. Start with a small amount of dye and gradually increase the amount until the orange/yellow hues fade. You can wait two weeks before bleaching again if you're trying to go platinum or white from a natural dark shade, but test strands first to ensure your hair doesn't fall out. Even if you know what you're doing, I don't think it's worth risking 40 vol.
Have you toned your tresses? Is it bleached, or did you do it yourself? To make your roots match the rest of your hair, we recommend processing them the same way you did the rest. If you have bleach blonde hair, keep an eye on your roots until the color has lifted close enough to the rest of your hair.
For hair that long, Manic Panic recommends three containers of dye, so I'm guessing three boxes of bleach will be required. To avoid damaging a large amount of hair, you might want to work in sections. This stuff is powerful and works quickly, so you won't have much time to work it through your mane.

TIsh and Snooky,br>br>My wife just bought your product, Manic Panic Flash Lightning, from Amazon. She hasn't been able to visit her hairdresser to get her hair dyed because of the quarantine. Her solution was to order your well-respected product and dye her own hair. We received your product yesterday afternoon, and she went straight to work with it this morning. My wife knows what she's doing because she's used a variety of hair dye products before. br>br>After seeing the finished product, I believe Tish and Snooky should be ashamed of themselves, and I would advise anyone not to purchase this product; my wife resembles a female version of Joe Exotic. Every time she enters the room, I expect lions and tigers to surround her. She'll have to replace the rest of her wardrobe with tasseled leather jackets from the 1980s and leopard-print silk shirts. br>br>I usually don't write product reviews, but given how bad this product is, I felt it was necessary to leave you cool cats and kittens a negative review in order to protect future customers. Mrs. Exotic is calling my name. br>br>I have to leave now.
I desired a burgundy or reddish-brown color for my hair. My hair would only show up in bright light without this product. It just popped when I used this product! br>br>Meeted and exceeded my expectations!.
It's always been done by a pro for me. I bought this product in order to try and save some money. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it went off without a hitch. I have medium/dark brown hair that I want to be blue, so I had to bleach it to achieve the desired blue. I used it to bleach my natural brown hair, and it worked wonders. It doesn't feel fried to me, but that could be due to the fact that I deep conditioned my hair afterward. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and will most likely purchase it again.
Pros: It didn't smell at all! I normally choke on bleach dyes, but I didn't notice the smell. br> I only left it in for 30 minutes, and it dyed pretty well in my opinion. br> Works so much better than drug store dyes. br> My hair is dark brown, and it came out lighter than I expected. br> Because I ran out of dye, one of the front parts is still brown. br> It's slightly orange, but I'd use a different box next time. br> WEAR GLOVES- I didn't think I'd touch it, but then I realized I needed to move my hair around a lot, and my fingers started to burn. I quickly washed them off, and they're fine now. br>br>I bought this to make an ombre blue in my hair for when I eventually put blue over it. br>Because I'm not a pro, I missed a lot of spots and ran out of dye. br>I only left it in for thirty minutes because I didn't want to fry. br>I never straighten or do anything to my hair, so I'm not sure what it would do to yours if it was damaged. br>I used aluminum foil and would unfold it every now and then to see how things were going. Overall: br>br> If your hair is as long as mine, get a second one and wear gloves. Use a timer to keep track of how long it takes you to complete each task. Take a look at your hair. br>br>I believe what I'm saying is self-evident, but I hope it proves useful to someone.
My hair was practically white after the second application, and the dye worked beautifully on it! I went with a bright pink that looked great. br>br>Only use it with caution. I was sloppy the first time and got it all over my body, resulting in minor chemical burns. They were itchier than painful, but they were still bothersome. I was very careful the second time and made sure to wash/rinse my hair several times that night, and I didn't get any burns. I can't say that's a flaw in the product because chemicals are chemicals and should be handled with caution at all times.
I was afraid to buy them 40 volume because many people said it would damage my hair. I read reviews and tutorials before purchasing them. However, because my hair is black, coarse, and thick, I should've gotten the 40 vol developer in the first place. Avoid making the same mistake I did if you have black hair. The majority of my bleached hair is now orange/brown, far from the color I need to dye it turquoise: (A few strands remain black. ) It's possible that you'll need to purchase a new bleach kit to complete the job.
