Here's how I do it for all my dark-haired ladies: I have a dark complexion. Hair is dark brown and thick. It's not as dark as black, but it's a dark chocolate brown. I read numerous reviews here and never saw a post with photos of the stages that dark hair goes through when using this product to lighten it, but I was eager to give it a try, so I took multiple photos from various angles. When I first started using the product, I thought my hair had to be wet, so I only applied it after showering. However, around 25% the end of the product, I began spraying it on dry hair. In my experience, both methods have yielded the same results. I followed the directions to the letter and only used the product once in between washes. The product smells great (as do all sunbum products), and while it can be drying, I've been able to keep my hair soft and strong by following the directions and doing a moisturizing hair mask at least once a week. To achieve the "sun kissed look," I also spent time in the sun after application, either sunbathing, walking, or swimming. I went from dark chocolate brown to light brown hair with copper and blonde low lights as a result of this process! However, the majority of people have reported that their brown hair has turned auburn or even red, and mine did as well. I would say that in the right light I looked like I had dark auburn hair with copper and blonde streaks at about 50% of the product being used I looked like I had% The auburn color has faded since I've continued to use the product, but some red is still visible in my hair strands, blended with browns and blondes. My progress has been excellent. I didn't have any goals other than to change my hair for cheap during the quarantine (hey, we're all bored and need a change, right?). So, if you're a dark brunette wondering if this product works, rest assured that it does. I will warn you that it will vary from person to person, but if you want to lighten your hair but don't have access to a skilled hairdresser (I'll never take them for granted again! ), I recommend giving it a try. It lightens your hair without causing it to become too dry. This product is something I would recommend to anyone who wants to lighten their hair with the sun (and I'm a hairdresser). I strictly adhere to the instructions, spraying only a few sections of my roots to soften the line and a few sections around my face to simulate sun exposure. br>br>The effects aren't as drastic or damaging as Sun In, which fried my hair a few years ago. Using a blow dryer or an iron to lighten it up will also help. Unless you want orange highlights, don't use it if your hair is extremely dark. Apply to some hair that can be easily hidden if you want to test it out. Before entering a chlorinated pool, do not use this product. It's possible that your hair will be fried.

Keep in mind that any lightening products will cause your hair to dry out, so use leave-in conditioners and hair masks instead! Since purchasing it, I've used it about once a week, and after 3-months of use, I'm still using it. I've received numerous compliments on how light my hair has become after only 5 uses. Natural color is light brown/dark blonde. I don't wash my hair beforehand, despite the fact that the instructions state that I should, because I don't want to over-dry my hair. I don't blow dry or style my hair, and it's not dyed, so I didn't have any damage going into this. This method is gentler than bleach and results in a golden, sun-kissed appearance. a kissed expression May is going to be my go-to destination for the summer.

My roots were in bad shape when I was 19, and I was 19 at the time. I used it two times. 3 times per week, I divided my hair into sections and sprayed from the highlighted section to the root, gradually working my way to new growth. Prior to blow drying, I applied a heat protectant, and I used a professional ionizing hair dryer. My hair did not suffer any damage as a result of using this product. This product works in a "sort of" way. If you're not a "dishwater-friendly" person, don't use it. blonde. " My hair is a mix of dark blonde and light brown.
