Replacement Charger Base for Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush HX6100, Travel Charger for Philips Sonicare HX3000 / HX6000 / HX8000 / HX9000 Series

We have two Philips toothbrushes: the HX6530 and HX6250 Sonicare EasyClean models. Unfortunately, we forgot to bring our charging base with us when we went on vacation this summer. We purchased this replacement version, which performs as expected with a few exceptions. br>br>The cord is long enough to reach most kitchen counters. We haven't noticed a significant difference in charging times between this replacement model and the Philips-designed model. base with a logo There are, however, a few drawbacks to be aware of. Because it is made of thinner plastic, this base lacks the heft of the Philips model. It's also warm to the touch after charging, and our toothbrushes get warm for a brief period of time, so it's worth keeping an eye on. Finally, the fit can be awkward; the HX6530 is easy to slip on and appears to have plenty of room, whereas the HX6250 is much tighter. br>br>Although it works as advertised, I would advise against charging your toothbrush indefinitely, as others have suggested.

It worked right away, and it charged my electric sonicare toothbrush without any problems. This is something I would highly recommend!.

It does not appear to recharge the unit to full capacity like the original charger. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing, because most people leave their sonicare unit on the charger all of the time, but keeping the battery only partially charged will help it last longer.

Before I could stop them, the movers had packed up my toothbrush charging base. Without a way to recharge my brush, we set off into the sunset. So, when we got a new address where packages could be delivered, I ordered this. It performs all of the functions that one would expect from a basic charger. For the time being, that's all there is to say about this review. There's no drama here; just dependable performance.

My original Sonicare toothbrush set came with two toothbrushes but only one charger. When I had to unplug and take the charger with me on a trip, it went missing for a while, so I always have an extra charger in my travel supplies.

This charger charges my toothbrush just as well as the original, but the pin that the brush sits on is a little too large, so the brush's base does not actually touch the charger's base. It's a little inconvenient and more easily knocked over, but it's not a big deal.
