She chews her toe nails and picks at her lips out of anxiety. I let her shop for a necklace after trying everything, but I am not sure it would work. This necklace was a big hit with her, and it is just so cute. Her nails are not being bit at all since I bought it. We have had it for less than a week and she wears it frequently or just holds it in her hand. As soon as I say "necklace", she runs to find it while picking her lips. She has SPD and I wanted to get her something to help her. As soon as she felt overwhelmed or frustrated, she would bite her wrists, pull on her hair, or pull on her glasses. Upon the recommendation of her occupational therapist, we started looking into chewables that could replace those behaviors we weren't enjoying. I was able to solve my problem with this. A family member's 3 year old granddaughter continually reminds her not to chew her nails, because she bites them. I am 5 years old when I am There is a little girl in my family who is two years old. It calms her to chew on things, and she does so to keep herself relaxed. Her doctor said it would be similar to thumb sucking or being attached to a toy. I recently put her in childcare because she spends all day with me. It's a week before Christmas, so this present was opened today under the tree by the little one. I have seen her wearing it around the house all morning. She is in love with it. The beads, the feet and the wings have all been chewed by the cat and no damage has been done. The bag is quite durable and very cute at the same time. For her little hand, the hole in the middle is a nice place to hold the wand. The only thing I wish was that they were more affordable, but then again, that could be said about anything.
