Questions & Answers

Is it safe to use this as a teether for children under the age of two?

They recommend that you use this product with adult supervision, as with all children's products. For my part, I let my now 7-year-old autistic son take it to bed and everywhere else with him. (I started him on these when he was two years old because he has a very strong jaw, and we adopted him when he was 18 months old, but I could have gotten it sooner!) ) I only buy the XXT because he chews through the others quickly, and he prefers this shape to the others because he can grasp it through the hole. Every 9 months to a year, I buy 2 or 3 of them. That way, I'll have one in the car, one in his bed, and one in the diaper bag as a backup in case he misplaces one. It takes him a long time to chew them down to the point where they need to be replaced. You should be fine as long as you check them every now and then, especially since your child is still growing teeth and does not have a particularly strong jaw.

Is this something that will benefit my 5-year-old child? He has Autism and sensory issues, and he chews a lot. ?

The firmness of this chew tool ensures that it will last a long time. The resistance and different textures were appealing to my child. We had to develop procedures for care when it was put down or handed off because it was larger than a chewy necklace.

I'm curious as to what this is made of. ?

NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex in this medical-grade, FDA-approved product. So, in a nutshell, it's probably a special material they can say is made out of pure all-natural materials that are the same as fairy shoes with a touch of love and a whole lot of good natured humorbr>br>There is no real "material listed" but minus a bunch of toxic stuff. It works great and provides just the right amount of sensory stimulation for my son; it has a "rubbery" texture similar to other baby chew toys but is much more durable.

What additional batteries will I require for the grabber?

There are no batteries required for this item.

Alright
4/5

My son chewed off the end of the chewy tube after a little more than a month. However, I would still recommend it to children with ASD. It's powerful, but if your child chews constantly like mine, get two!.

Great product, but Xtra Xtra Tough is the name of the game! The Textured Grabber XXT from ARK is a good chew stick, but it didn't work out for my son
4/5

They're not lying when they say it's Xtra Xtra tough. My 9-year-old chews everything, so I bought it for him. He couldn't do it because it was too difficult. He can't chew it because it hurts his teeth. My son likes to chew on his shirts, blankets, pencils, and other similar items. This toy was far too rigid for my liking. I assumed that the Xtra Xtra would be perfect, but I was wrong. This should only be purchased by someone who chews a lot. The handle and stick are convenient to use because they are easy to hold and the stick part fits comfortably in the mouth. My 9-year-old didn't find the nubs particularly useful, but they might be beneficial to a teething baby or a sensory child. I liked the product so much that I bought a less durable one for my other son and will buy another for my 9-year-old to replace this one.

For those who have a habit of chewing, this is a great option
4/5

I like how chewy and tough it is. In my class, there is a constant chewer who does not chew hard. He also requires a large item in order to apply pressure to his molars- As a result, tiny, cutesy chewies are out. It is, however, a little small in my opinion. I wish it was an inch or two bigger for kids who require pressure from the front to the back of their mouth while still having enough to hold on to. Regardless, a lot of chewing has been done to it! It's something I'd buy again if the opportunity arose.

My son has ASD, and this is ideal for him
5/5

After experimenting with a variety of shapes and brands, I'm glad I finally settled on this one. These are extremely durable, and only the texture on one of them has begun to peel away. They're chewed on a daily basis by my son. The last brands we tried only lasted three days before the chewing end began to fall apart. This is something I strongly advise heavy chewers to try.

That's quite impressive
5/5

This is the second one I've bought for my 7-year-old son, who has special needs. The first one lasted about 9 months before he chewed it up. For comparison, my son has gnawed wood and dented plastic. I've bought it before and will buy it again.

It isn't nearly as powerful as it claims to be
3/5

I look after a special needs teen who chews tubes; he always chews up the other ones we order, so we decided to try this extra tough one. It took him a week and a half to chew a small piece off. Maybe he's just got a set of extra-tough teeth. However, the cost is not justified.

Great product with a lot of power
4/5

I tied it to a string and wore it around my neck. It's a hit with my son. I purchased this product for my five-year-old son, who was biting his nails. Unfortunately, he never took to it very well (though he did stop biting his nails on his own), but my two-year-old adores it, and I can tell that chewing on it calms her down when she is upset. ) It may not be suitable for all children, but it is an excellent product that has proven to be effective in the hands of some. This one is particularly tough; I believe my older son would have chewed on it more if it were softer.

It's difficult, but I like the concept
3/5

It also appeals to my son. It's proving to be much more difficult than anticipated. It was supposed to be a softer silicone toy, but it wasn't. He'll be able to chew on it and fidget with it. But it's extremely difficult, and I believe that's why he only likes it in a limited way because of the texture.
