Every person is different, so it is a hard question to answer. The red one is the one I used in physical therapy to strengthen my fingertips and my wrist An automobile accident left me with a broken left forearm and the need to strengthen my arm muscles. As I recall, a good workout was had and is marked "soft" (I am right-- Is dominant in the hand). I am impressed with the quality of the putty. Then again, that really depends upon what your needs are, whether it is for rehabilitation, stress relief, or Could you consider something in the midrange and try "soft" first? At this price, you can't go wrong.

There are so many things I enjoy about this. I like that it's a good amount for my small hands, it's a handful and it's perfect! When I need something in my hand while in therapy or when I just need something in hand, I use it. Works well for my attention deficit disorder. The tape does not stick to things or get stuck, so that is a major advantage!.
I use this as a school resource for my child. Fidgeting keeps him from paying attention, and it keeps him from fidgeting. One day, he left it on the sun-soaked seat of his car, and it melted into the leather. I put and it came out perfect and is still usable despite being in the freezer.
It's a great product when you're getting back into shape after Start with the soft if you're not sure. This was too stiff for me, even though I ordered medium. Due to the fact that I am petite and have not a lot of wrist strength, I could have used a soft wrist band. While I may still rely on medium, it may not be used as aggressively as it once was. Ideally, you should start off with soft and work your way up from there if you want to build strength rather than.
I like it a lot. As a result of shoulder surgery, I had troubles closing my hand into a fist. The 80% that my hand was at before using this is back to about 80% after using it regularly.
Excellent product! I was recommended this after a stroke to strengthen my hand. I have found it to be extremely helpful. My recommendation is to check it out. It was suggested that I choose the Green (medium) one.
My mom used it for psychotherapy, so I bought some to use at my desk during work. I remembered my mom using it for psychotherapy, so I decided to get some for myself. In my experience, the 4 oz size is a good size ball. It isn't too soft nor too hard just right in the middle, not too soft nor too hard.
I found the amount and consistency to be the right one to do hand exercises as recommended by my hand therapist. It is not sticky, and It's as though the product never seems to come apart once it's returned to the container, even if I break it into separate balls.
I was expecting this to be a bit firmer. Using something less than medium is appropriate if your hands are wet. Please note I've seen my daughter playing with it a lot!.
