It is a complete waste of money, as I own both an oral digital thermometer and a fairly expensive forehead/ear thermometer. I often get results of 2 degrees or lower. The temperature has dropped by four degrees! By default, it is set to Celsius, but can be switched to Fahrenheit easily. I really enjoy this since there are many different modes oral, armpit, bath mode, and the all-time favorite rectal mode. When taking the temperature with thermometers, you have to add one or two degrees to the reading, depending on what method you use.
