Hold down the button for 2 seconds. When you press the button the second time, hold it down for 2 seconds. This will display F and C, and you can also change from C to F from then on.
You will be able to read the temperature in around 10 seconds, despite being the same size. As a result, the results are much faster than when done by hand.

I'm disappointed to no end! Purchased this thermometer on eBay. Upon arrival, it has died. It does not seem to fit the battery that I'm looking for. It goes from store to store trying to find a new battery based on the product description. I've misplaced it while going from store to store looking for a replacement. Our new batteries arrive and turn out to be the wrong type! Rather than using an ordinary human digital thermometer when my dog is pregnant, I purchased this one specifically for her. Your improper item description and the fact that the item for sale is clearly old should be ashamed of you.
The worst of all is its restriction that it can't even be returned. Who the hell do you think you are? It is a company that I paid for a product that does not This is not true. Even if I exchanged it for one which does, there's no way to get it? That's an absolute waste of time.
It's not worth your time. It's been all over the place with the temperatures. It seems odd to me that it told me my temperature was 90 although I'm pretty sure it was not.
In order to use this thermometer for our goats' rectal temperatures, we used it on two goats. However, it took over a minute for them to reach the correct temperature each time. As it went up, it kept going In addition to their discomfort, the goats get very agitated after about 30 seconds when they have this in their bum. In order to get a temperature, we do not think it is worth the risk of possibly damaging their rectally. Our return for this item has been approved.
I tested it against a few other thermometers since I was concerned it wasn't right. This thermometer had the lowest temperature of all. Getting the right reading might be difficult since it doesn't give enough time. It will be used for emergencies, but I have another one on the way.

There is no lid on the plastic protective case Although the outer bag was sealed, no lid for the case was present. The outer bag looked dirty and wrinkled as if it had been sitting on a shelf for a long time. The thermometer is on and off, but I will have to compare its accuracy to another thermometer.
