Questions & Answers

Is there a recommendation as to how often or how long to use the device? If so, what is that?

The following muscles are targeted during respiratory muscle training The site is open six days a week - The sessions are held in the morning and the evening. We recommend that you breathe for two sets of ten breaths a session with several minutes of rest in between. As a rule of thumb, we advise starting at 1and 1 on the dial settings and progressively increasing You should see decreased dyspnea, increased oxygen saturation, a better cough clearance and a better ability to speak and swallow if you continue to use the product as directed. I now have a better quality of life! Due to the strengthening of your respiratory muscles and diaphragm you will be able to carry on more easily with your daily activities. A key factor to compliance is a positive attitude! Remember you will succeed if you never give up It will make a difference if you use The Breather one day at a time! Would this be the same device that Bob and Brad used in the "simple breathing exercise for copd" video that features the larger mouthpiece and an easy-to-turn dial?

The device that Bob and Brad were wearing is this one. During the recent design and development of this device, it was given a really comfortable mouthpiece for a good lip seal, making it particularly useful for people with weak lips. It is very simple to turn the dials, and all the settings are clearly marked as well as a nice and large size so you can see what is desired. It is recommended that you view the training videos offered by PN Medical on their website The PN Medical. Please click here

Each time you breathe you feel resistance, both inhaling and exhaling?

There is resistance in it. Five levels are available in the breather. The levels of inhalation are 5 and the levels of exhalation are 5. A therapist evaluates your performance and increases the level if you are in therapy. For me, my therapist begins my treatment at level two. We are in third level after two and a half months. One aspect of using the breather is how many breaths to inhale and exhale in a certain amount of time. However, it is great for relieving stress. By consistently regulating your breathing, you will find that your voice sounds better and your respiratory response will increase.

What is the best method for cleaning ?

Greetings from Special Needs Essentials, this is Katie. Simple warm water and soap are all that is needed to clean the breather. Make sure you rinse well and shake off any Clean paper towels should be aired out for drying. You can store the dried products in a plastic bag after they have been thoroughly dried. High temperatures should not be used to store the breather. I wish you all the best, Katie Special

It doesn't last
3/5

It's not worth the money. Within one week of use, the exhale side stopped working, and it is not returnable. Unlike my patients, I'll no longer be recommending this to them since this was a waste of $26. This was a great product when I expected it to be, but unfortunately it was not.

Low blood pressure method that is easy to use and inexpensive
4/5

In response to reading several articles relating to controlling hypertension with breathing exercises, I decided to buy this device to verify if it was likely to help Its extremely simple concept and ease of use allowed me to lower my systolic blood pressure (SBP) by about 5 points on the very first try. It helped to bring my blood pressure close to the ideal range after using it twice a day for two weeks. All without the use of There is no substitute for your doctor's advice, so don't stop taking your medications or rely on this thing without consulting your doctor first, but it works for me.

This is excellent! I'd like that! This is effective
5/5

My lungs have been damaged since I used to smoke. By using the Breather, I have been able to rapidly expand my lung capacity so that I no longer feel breathless when taking walks with my husband or when wakeboarding! a difference throughout my body as I am now breathing properly (not shallow breathing) in order to ensure that my vital organs and brain receive more oxygen. In addition to being more alert, I am also sleeping much better! I've also been told that I'm no longer snoring, which is a bonus! The extra benefit of this product was a happy surprise I didn't purchase it for sleep apnea but discovered it to be very therapeutic! This is an incredibly intuitive device!.

Bite your tongue not your teeth
4/5

As part of my lung capacity improvement, I was recommended this product. It takes me an 80 year old's lung capacity to breathe at 35. Until I use it for a longer period of time, I have no idea how well it works. You can use it easily, it is simple to clean, and it comes with clear instructions. This is a warning! According to the instructions, you are not supposed to bite down, so I did it to hold it in place but the next day I was dying of pain in my jaw. The last time I had a jaw problem, it was before I was married. I still have pain in my jaw almost a year later. TMJ turned out to be the cause of my symptoms. An injection was required and a doctor's visit was required. All of which are not covered by my insurance. Therefore, make sure that you do not Then again, I tried it this evening, but I didn't bite down this time, so I'll update my review if I wake up having jaw pain again. have noticed that about 20 minutes after using it, there is crackling in my jaw, but I have experienced no new pains. Here's an update
Next day, I had no problems with my jaw at all. Thanks be to God.

Contains horrible fumes when it is being used
3/5

It should not be used. Inhaling VOCs while using this product can affect those with lung problems. I was hoping this would be a good product. However, the plastic used for the product gives off VOCs you can smell and taste while using it. There may be poison in it. The product has been washed several times in hot soapy water but it still offgasses. It is unclear when it will stop off-gassing and for how long. There is nothing pleasant about it, both in taste and smell. Moreover, since it cannot be opened more, it is difficult to allow the stuffing to dry out. This will lead to mold and bacteria growing, and could potentially cause other lung issues. That is why we need better plastic designs and better ways to clean the thing. It is truly a shame that I wasted my money on this product when I had such high expectations.

We are The Breathers
5/5

As a result of dysphasia (problems swallowing), I am receiving therapy. The Breather was recommended by the therapist to help improve the muscles in the throat area. A specific set of exercises is done every day for me. I have noticed that my throat muscles have improved a little bit since I started using The Breather As long as the other exercises are done, I think this will be effective. This product has helped me toward meeting my goal, so it has received a 5 star rating.

My asthma is under control and I'm getting ready to dive again at the same time
5/5

I am being equipped to dive again with this medication that's helping me with my asthma! Training with resistance is the thing I love! Anyone who wishes to build both the throat and the lungs and even the esophagus will benefit from this small investment.
