Questions & Answers

Throughout the course of 5 minutes, I took three readings(154, 171, 134). Is there a chance that the machine could ?

The same thing happened to me. My Omron brand has been functioning well for several years now, but recently it started giving me super high readings and I thought I was to blame for it. It took me a few minutes to find the doctor, who asked me to come in to take my blood pressure and then put it on my machine. Thank goodness Using a professional office reading of 128 over 80, and taking the opposite arm a second time, it A few minutes later, I took my BP in the office using this model Omron, which came out to be 162/100. This is what brought me to the doctor to begin with. As a result, this machine is no longer reliable and as it's very helpful for me to measure my own blood pressure, I must purchase These machines must wear down in some way since I follow directions to a T.

Do you have to use a ?

There is no need to describe it Not manually inflating, but inflating with an air compressor.

Do you operate on battery power?

I'm glad it uses batteries, since that is what I prefer. In addition to owning dozens of electronic items, such as kitchen products, pc's and other IT equipment, and also shavers, rechargeable batteries, etc., I also possess dozens of electric My problem is finding a charger for an old device that I have not used in a while, I have tried to organize by using Velcro to keep the chargers with the devices, but I still have hundreds of dollars worth of devices that don't work. devices do not accommodate voltage and amp ratings on the device itself, and this is made a lot worse when it comes to transformers.

The BP monitor I have at home is the one I use as a physician
5/5

My job as an anesthesiologist involves monitoring blood pressure all day long, so I am well-versed in monitoring blood pressure. The automatic blood pressure monitor should have a few key features that you should look for. As a matter of first importance, it should be correct. The accuracy of a BP monitor makes it not just worthless, but potentially dangerous as well. The cuff needs to be precisely sized for the arm of every individual (this is a crucial aspect It doesn't matter how expensive your BP monitor is, if the cuff is too large or too small for your arm, it will still give you inaccurate readings. The software should also be simple and easy to use, even without an outside helper. blood pressure is a cumbersome process or one in which another person is always needed, you'll be less likely to do it frequently. All of these requirements are met by the Omron 5 Series BP monitor The readings are accurate, and more importantly, they are reproducible as well. By comparing the Omron's readings to blood pressure measurements taken manually, I verified that it indeed was accurate. A) The D-frame There is a wide range of sizes for a ring cuff A torso measuring 9 to 17 inches (as measured halfway between your elbow and also offers a smaller D-size The ring cuff is designed for those with arms that measure 7" to 9". 1) The D-2) The P- You can use the ring cuff a lot easier when you are by yourself than a typical blood pressure cuff. Slipping the arm through the cuff and pulling it tight is all that needs to be done. 4) Both the numbers on the screen and the text are very large and It strikes a good balance between having everything you need in a quality monitor and remaining at a very reasonable price, for me, this 5 Series BP monitor completes the perfect picture. As compared with the 5 Series, the 3 Series was able to store fewer readings When you get to the 7 Series and above, you are paying for features that are not really 'essential' (as far as I'm concerned! ). Getting accurate readings from this monitor is easy with a few tips Keeping your arm still while the monitor takes the reading is the best way to maintain accuracy' There is a possibility that movement will cause inaccurate readings* - *Place your arm on a horizontal surface while you rest your arm. This is where the cuff's "bladder" is located, so make sure the tube from the cuff runs down the center of your arm (on the inside of your elbow) to prevent excessive pressure on the arm. This part of the cuff will not give you the proper reading if it gets rotated around to the back of your arm. Keep the cuff on your arm at all times If it extends over your elbow, keep it away from it. The repeated measurements with the cuff over your elbow may adversely affect your readings, but it could also cause damage That's all I have for you.

The accuracy of the information must be checked! I made an error in my calculations
3/5

In the recent weeks, I've been suffering from a chest cold that lead to bronchitis and had to visit the doctor. During that visit, my doctor informed me that my blood pressure was excessive for the first time in my life. usually have near perfect blood pressure) Since this was a new experience for me, I did not waste any time finding When I was an E, I was just starting out. While I do have the Sphygmomanometer and Stethoscope I need to take my blood pressure myself, anyone who has attempted to do so manually can tell you it is quite complicated. If you are going to do measurements, it's best to use a monitor that allows you to remain relaxed and not move during the measurement. Well, after reading a number of five star reviews, including a few that were authored by medical professionals (as indicated in their reviews), I made the decision to purchase it. In addition, the price was reasonable and the memory is perfect for monitoring true blood pressure values over time. It arrived this morning (thank you Amazon for your quick delivery. was able to get it running quickly. You can use the unit very easily and with no problems. There is a large readout on the display that is crisp and clean.

There was ONE thing that I just could not stand. I had my first measurement taken * (OH MY GOD! As I said to myself, this is the way I feel like. After a short wait of about 15 minutes, I took the test Now that I was worried about it, it was in the same range as before, however, a little higher. The good news is that I was able to arrange an appointment with my doctor today. During my appointment I brought my Omron 5 series with me to be checked by the doctor and a comparison run performed. short version is that this Omron device consistently measured more than 15 points higher than any of my doctor's equipment, or a traditional Sphygmomanometer. Ultimately, the moral is do what you can. Check your unit's reading against another professional or have it tested.

The information is not I was told I needed a cuff to monitor my blood pressure by my doctor
3/5

The doctor said she had never seen a cuff that read so off when I brought it in to test the accuracy. In both diastole and systole, the blood pressure was 25 to 30 points low. I don't even know if that helps. On her, it was still inaccurate, but did seem to be a little more accurate than before. In the absence of any concern about reliability (which should be a concern), this may meet your needs. If you want an accurate reading, you will have to look more closely.

It is worthless
3/5

There is no way to calibrate or certify the accuracy of this device. In my case, the readings are consistently high and there is no correction to correct them. Therefore, my doctor suggested I adjust them myself. I need to keep my blood pressure at a constant level for two In the aftermath of receiving this unit, I informed him of my readings. His unit had never had such a high number, and he asked me to bring in his monitor so he could compare it with it. Dr. J takes my pressure, and it is 135/85. Then we use the Omron unit to find out my reading is After doing 2 weeks of testing, speaking with the doctor, scheduling an appointment, and actually going to the office, it has been 32 days since I did all of this (in fact, it has been nearly 3 weeks since I did the testing. ) The Amazon return period has expired. In order to return the unit, now I need to contact Omron customer service. They would just test it for accuracy if I paid for shipping (I'm an Amazon Prime member, by the way. When the survey is determined to be accurate, the survey will be returned. A replacement unit will be provided if they decide the unit is defective. You could save a lot of headaches, time and money by using this service The customer service for Omron and their return policies are not customer friendly, so I recommend you do not purchase this product. It was not possible to speak with a supervisor on the Omron line. It certainly didn't make sense for me to be treated this way for a $40 item I'd suggest you don't waste your time with this blood pressure device.
