This is an amazing chair! I have ALS and use a large, heavy power wheelchair that I don't travel with. I dislike being pushed around and prefer to be in control of my own chair. This chair was the best of both worlds that I was able to find. I get to drive, and because it folds up so easily, it can fit into any vehicle. The airline was also very accommodating with the chair. It can be folded up and stored in its own bag, and the airline had it ready for us when I got off the plane. The chair is very comfortable and the battery life is excellent! If you prefer to be self-sufficient, I strongly suggest this chair!.
Advantages are that it is simple to unpack and set up. br>Cons: comes with one battery; if you need another, it will cost you over $300 if you can find one; seat is too thin; you can feel the support bars going across; when backing up, your feet will get caught between the tire and the foot base if you are not properly positioned. The battery is difficult to align and is located under the seat, making it difficult to move. Will I repurchase it? I wish I'd done more research. Better directions are also required.
We purchased this wheelchair for our 16-year-old son, who suffers from MD, so that he can hang out with his friends without having to transport his large power wheelchair, which weighs around 500 pounds. We discovered that while this wheelchair is excellent for moving around large spaces, it is extremely difficult to use in restaurants or homes with standard hallways and doors. It's difficult to turn, it's wide, and the footrest makes sitting close to a pedestal leg table nearly impossible. The battery lasts a long time and charges quickly. I was taken aback by how heavy it was. I can't lift it by myself, so if I'm taking our son somewhere alone, we'll have to use our accessible van lift. We haven't used it as much as I had hoped because it's so difficult to get it in and out of standard vehicles without the help of multiple people.
My wife is unable to pull a wheelchair, which is a significant burden given my weight. She got me a Porto mobility Ranger for my birthday. I love being able to walk through all of our doors and get anywhere in our house. The battery is simple to charge and assemble.
I have multiple sclerosis and needed something to help me get around in the evenings when my energy level was low. My rollator walker serves me well in the mornings and afternoons, but not after 4 p. m. I have a height of 5 feet and a width of 5 feet and a width of 5 To sit up straight, I have to put a pillow behind my back. It is made for people who are taller. The seat is adequate, but more padding would be preferable, and the chair beeps loudly when backing up, which can be irritating. I contacted the manufacturer, and they informed me that there is a way to reduce the noise, and their customer service is excellent. When I first got the chair, I had trouble charging it, so they walked me through the process. They'll also send a noise-cancelling device. Overall, this chair is simple to use and attractive. I wouldn't suggest sitting on it for the entire day. That isn't what it was made for. It folds up small enough to fit in the trunk. It'll be ideal for travel, in my opinion. I'll be spending about three hours a day on this project. I sit in this chair for 5 hours at a time, and every other day I charge it. It was a wise decision. These are the guys I'd order from again.
Once was right on the grass of where a little tree previously lived. It was a lot of work.
I am an 85-year-old woman who lives in assisted living because of back and walking problems. My 55-year-old daughter and I are the only ones left in Arizona, and she suffers from fibromyalgia and COPD. After reading dozens of reviews, I decided to spend $2000 on this 41-pound chair so that we could fold it up and store it in her convertible for when we went out to eat. Maintenance at my facility was able to get it out of the box and set up without issue. She can't lift it because it's much heavier than 41 pounds. I took paratransit to the doctor's office and had to slow down to a crawl to control the joystick with my old hands. I collided with three door frames as well as the doctor's desk. I'm at a loss for ideas. Because I trusted the reviews, I threw out the box and packing.
It's nearly impossible to perform tasks on a small farm when you're having trouble breathing. The Ranger has sturdiness, strength, long battery life, high ground clearance, comfort, and ease of control, which I searched for months looking for a wheelchair with the major features to accommodate my needs. I couldn't be happier with my Ranger X6 after several months of use in all types of weather and on a variety of surfaces. When shopping in both outdoor and indoor malls, it performs exceptionally well. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful wheelchair.
