Two mini wheels in pieces, brakes not working, two front wheel covers cracked and broken, seat very loose and wobbly despite securing screw and bolt as tight as possible, chair immediately shows error code indicating chair is plugged into charger when it wasn't (possibly due to damaged electrical component underneath chair)! Very let down. My mother has been in desperate need of a power chair for quite some time, and this is her first one, which she is unable to use!.
If you have any problems with it, take it to a dealer instead of buying it online. Furthermore, their website contains errors regarding who is and is not a dealer. Here's what I've learned from using this device. On the 6th of December, I purchased this item. I put it together and delivered it to my grandmother, who is 96 years old, at a nursing home. She couldn't use it because she didn't know how to. She couldn't stand the abrupt starts and stops. That is, after all, beside the point. My father was having difficulty walking and would need it soon, so I took it to my parents' house to store it. My father attempted to charge it two months ago and was unsuccessful. Batteries sat unused for far too long, which is understandable. The batteries were replaced. They charged it up, tested it, and it appeared to work fine, so Dad decided to use it a few weeks later. It's not going to budge. Although the batteries appear to be charged, the chair refuses to move and the battery power indicator rapidly depletes. When I call the manufacturer again, he says that one or both motors are most likely bad and are draining the batteries while the machine is idle. Also, the batteries are most likely ruined once more. It says I should take it to a local service center because the warranty has expired as of December 6, 2017. This page contains a list of local service providers. They aren't all service centers, and some aren't even dealerships. Yes, I understand that this chair is no longer covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but it has essentially never been used. It has maybe a tenth of a mile on it. Maybe. I tried to get in touch with them again, but they insisted that I work with a dealer. The nearest one is 60 miles away, and they don't know if anyone can help. They say, "Perhaps we can take a look at it. " Even if the warranty has expired, an unused chair should function. Especially considering the price tag of $1500. And, while they won't say how much the motors for this cost, I'm sure it'll be in the thousands. What happens after that? Why would these new motors not be garbage if the previous ones were? br>*EDIT* After removing it from my car to test the batteries, I discovered that the battery box had leaked battery acid all over my car and my house's floors (as well as a small amount on my hand). I called the manufacturer again, and this time I got a different person who seemed very eager to assist me. They're sending me a new battery charger (which was the problem) as well as new batteries. So it went from sorry, we can't help you, you must go through a dealer to yes, sir, right away, sir. It's funny how a faulty battery charger that causes leakproof batteries to leak battery acid all over the place can motivate a business.
Our issue is with the chair's seller, not with the chair itself. It's our second one, and this one is a 4-star. The seat cover on this chair (not the first one) has bunched up and nearly slid off the chair, earning it a five-star rating. We worked with MMS to get this resolved, including taking numerous pictures of the seat, the seat cover, underneath the seat, and so on; however, the manufacturer will not take action until MMS contacts them. All we want is for this to be covered by the manufacturer's warranty or for us to pay for a new one. But MMS has stopped responding, and I've just had heart surgery, so I don't want to waste any more time wrestling with the chair to get the perfect shot.
This LiteRider model is just a smidgeon smaller than the standard RoundAbout, making it a little easier to maneuver through our older home's narrower hallways and doorways. The control joystick takes some getting used to, but that's to be expected. The LiteRider is simple to disassemble and store in the trunk, making it ideal for shopping. Remember that the person who will need it is unlikely to be able to do it himself, so a friend or spouse will need to be able to help. Because I am not Superwoman, we always keep a second scooter in the car so I don't have to disassemble the LiteRider and carry it downstairs to the car and back up. That's purely a personal preference and a way to save money on my back. It's a fantastic battery-powered chair!.
The first 20 minutes were spent learning the ropes. The inch seat had almost no back support, and whenever I leaned back, it turned into a lounge chair - When you hit a bump or a slight incline, it's not good. The company sent a 17-foot truck. inch replacement, which eliminated the lounge effect, and the size was suitable for a 240-pound person. person weighing a pound The chair's best features are (1) its price and (2) its comfort. ability to maneuver in confined spaces - Bathrooms, closets, and pantries are particularly important.
I couldn't get it to start until I realized the break was on and it wouldn't let me turn it on. It does exactly what it says on the tin, and I use it on a daily basis in my home.
The chair has broken down. A broken joystick controller cable was discovered. I can't seem to find a replacement that matches the one I have, and I'm unable to move without it. Please ship as soon as possible because it is a straightforward installation. I'll take care of it. This chair has only been in use for ten days. thanks.
The controls are sensitive, so if you've never played video games or used a controller like this before, it'll take some getting used to; once you've mastered them, it turns on a dime and gives you nine cents change. Overall, an excellent low-cost electric chair for getting around the house, as well as to and from doctors' offices and other appointments that require some walking. So far, in the three months that I've had it, it's performed admirably. I would strongly advise anyone with a disability to think about it.
