So I purchased this item for my mother, who is unable to walk due to a birth defect; I have witnessed her struggle throughout her life, but this wheel chair has changed her life for the better. She is very happy to be very independent with this electric wheel chair; it is her first electric wheel chair; she was previously using a traditional one and was hesitant to use it at first, but this one is so simple to use and carry. It's also very simple to fold and unfold. The best part is that even though my mother struggles to operate it, she can now charge her phone at any time using the charging port built into the joystick. It may appear to be a minor detail, but it has helped her become more self-sufficient in her daily routine, and I am delighted to give it to my mother as a gift.
So I purchased it for my 18-year-old young adult daughter. We needed something less bulky for travel so she could maintain her independence. Her regular chair is too bulky and requires a special car lift, while the manual chair limits her independence. As a result, we decided to give it a shot. So far, everything has gone well. I'll come back and leave it in the condition it was in after traveling, but in any case, I give this a thumbs up for its small size, light weight, and ability to run manually or motorized. For us, this chair is a win-win-win situation.
(You have no idea how much of a blessing that is. ) I can lift the entire thing with one hand, batteries and all. My father has a number of wheelchairs, the majority of which are worn out and heavy, but this one is truly amazing. It's a simple laptop, so charging it isn't an issue. )br>br> like a power brick with an XLR adapter on the end that can be plugged into the chair's controller to charge it It also charges fairly quickly. br>br>On the other hand, it's extremely uncomfortable to sit in, and if you're light like my Father, it feels like you're riding a horse about to buck you. He was terrified of going over door thresholds (thankfully, the anti-theft device prevented him from doing so). The tippers did their job, but they could have been a little lower to catch the fish sooner. He's worried about tumbling out of it because he's driving through bumpy parking lots (which tends to thrash him around a bit). (Will he? I seriously doubt it, but wouldn't you be scared if you were in his shoes? )br>br>Another point to consider is that screws/bolts appear to loosen over time. It's a simple fix, but it's a strange situation. br>br>The tires are more Spring/Summer/Fall in nature; I wouldn't call them Winter tires. prepared in any way. I'm not sure if the chair is rated for cold weather, but I guess we'll find out. br>br>I hope it continues to work for my Father; it gives him access that he didn't have before, and it doesn't ruin my back while trying to get the chair in and out of the car. br>br>The price is now higher than what he paid, and it's too much at the current asking price. The original purchase price (which included an Amazon digital gift card) was much more reasonable. It's appropriate for children, teenagers, and small children. br>br> It's designed for adults, and it does exactly what it says (it's light and portable), and with practice, it could become a daily driver for anything.
READ THE REVIEW AND THE UPDATE. I RECEIVED THE CHAIR IN GOOD CONDITION AND WITHIN 5 DAYS! ) BUT NO INSTRUCTIONS (FINALLY FOUND A LITTLE BOOKLET HIDDEN IN THE BOTTOM OF THE CARTON) ENTIRELY INVALUABLE. (3) I SPENT A WEEK TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT, AND I FINALLY DID ; THERE WAS A MISMATCH IN WIRING AND A LACK OF DOTS TO ALIGN THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS (3) THE CHAIR DID NOT WORK BECAUSE THE BATTERY COULD NOT BE CHARGED; I SENT THREE EMAILS REQUESTING A WIRING DIAGRAM AND EXPLAINING THE PROBLEM AND RECEIVED MEANINGLESS REPLY; I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CHAIR TO WORK, BUT IT HAD BEEN A VERY ANNOYING TEN DAYS. THE CO. 'S LAST ANSWER WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE A VIDEO OF THE PROBLEM? ARE YOU NUTS TO ASK SUCH A QUESTION OF A DISABLED SENIOR CITIZEN? UPDATE : THIS IS A VERY NICE CHAIR; MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT IT DID NOT CHARGE UPON RECEIPT, EVEN AFTER MANY EMAILS TO THE COMPANY. NO HELPFUL RESPONSES; THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY MY OWN CROSSED WIRES AND A LACK OF MARKINGS; I WAS EXPECTING A BETTER REPLY FROM MAKER; IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE LANGAGE BARIER IS THE CAUSE?.
ImagineLife's wheelchair capabilities were misrepresented, so I returned it to them, with no refund or verbal exchange after ImagineLife received it.
This is not what the weight limit stated, and it is what goes over the door rim.
This electric wheelchair has a lot of positive aspects. It was purchased for a senior citizen who had a twisted bad back, bone spurs, and stenosis. It's small and portable, making it easier to get around the house than a large, bulky one. I'm overjoyed that I was able to obtain this!.
Is it possible that the charger is broken? The instructions are not very clear. I haven't been able to get it going yet.
