Questions & Answers
Because the belt must be permanently attached to the chair, I'm not sure how well it would work around the footrests!
The back screw that holds the wheelchair seat cloth to the frame is where this belt attaches to the wheelchair frame. Its sole purpose is to keep a person seated in a chair. Unscrew the screw, line up the hole in the belt with the hole in the frame, and secure the screw through the belt and the wheelchair seat.
There are no seat belt extenders available.
Both sides are long, and the buckle is in the middle. The size can be adjusted, but the buckle is always in the center.

These were installed by a professional wheelchair vendor, and I hadn't used it for more than two days - and a little sloppily - when the wheelchair frame's strap came undone. In the meantime, I bought a backup in case the first one broke, and that one broke within two days as well. These straps are labeled as "standard," but they are anything but. The tongue size is a "mongrel size," as non-standard items are referred to; it is larger than others and will not work with any other standard lap belt belt buckle. This is an UNSAFE product, and I couldn't find a patent number or manufacturer's name anywhere on it, and it came in a plain, cheap plastic bag with no product name or location on it.
This belt has been on my person for over a month and is still going strong. It appears to be much more durable than my previous seatbelt. Although it was a long process, I was able to make this belt work. It is possible to make changes.
I used the belt for the first time and the rivets came out. They're the kind of rivets you'd expect to see on low-cost clothing. RISKY, and a waste of money.
I am 100% satisfied with this seat belt. It exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and it adjusted bigger and smaller than the original seatbelt which made it perfect.
My father has a tight-fitting chair, but this belt makes it even tighter. It does not connect to the back of the seat and does not fit the chair at all.
Our wheelchair did not come with a safety belt, but this one does the job. It's long enough for everyone, and it's affordable.
It was nice, but it broke after a few months, just like all the other belts I've purchased.
This seat belt does not stay in place; you must twist it to keep it from sliding and slackening.
