Support for the torso that's easy to use and safe, but you really want to get the right size
3/5

This product is made of firm and soft materials, including the velcros, and it should be safe to use. Our senior uncle might benefit from Possey belts that don't tangle because they are simple to apply and will not tangle. The velcros are strong enough for him to remove them on his own. Since getting it, we have only used it a few times due to the need to get permission from him. It was just after receiving the product and trying it that it became evident that a smaller size would have been more comfortable for him. In order to determine the lengths needed for the shoulder straps, anyone looking into this product should sit in the wheelchair while measuring the lengths needed for the shoulder straps that come off from the back of the wheelchair over the shoulder down to Make sure you find out what size you need from the business. If you retain a memory such as I did about a body size, then you should reconsider. As we age, our posture and size can alter somewhat. On the back side I run shoulder straps in a cross pattern, but the straps are still a bit too long, with the velcros catching barely on the waist belt. We do not have a problem with this length on the waist belt.

A very useful device to keep the patient stable on their It helps keep the patient steady on the wheelchair, is easy to carry, and the Velcro straps are strong I have been using it for months now without issues
5/5

It does keep the patient steady, however it does not prevent the patient from sliding, so continuous supervision is still necessary.

It's wonderful having them around
5/5

Someone who is the right fit could find it life changing. As a teacher of personal care and mobility, I emphasize mobility. My job as an Ambassador is to assess clients' current needs and make recommendations. To assist people with wheel chairs in maintaining proper posture, my agency has provided five Posey Torso Supports. It's wonderful having them around. Someone who is the right fit could find it life changing.

For patients with Alzheimer's or dementia, I would not recommend it
3/5

A person can buckle over as the day continues because it is unable to hold their weight. The person is also able to loosen it if they are active and not sitting still all day. For patients with Alzheimer's or dementia, I would not recommend it.

About as much as it can do prevents you from falling out of your chair
3/5

It does not look good (is very ugly), it is difficult to put on and awkward, but it does prevent someone in a wheelchair from falling out of their.
