In my cart, the electric charge would not hold, and it wouldn't go up even a slight hill. As far as I was concerned, this was a done deal. I found out that my batteries were dead after some research. As they had lasted 5 years, it was important to replace them with the same manufacturer and model. The battery cases themselves were notoriously difficult to open and close, despite the fact that these were exceedingly easy to install. Using these carts is like a brand new cart! They work flawlessly and provide an awesome amount of power! The price was well worth it. Get these if you want to replace your batteries. This is what it really is.
It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a MK battery that don't fail after 4 months. I have been using them for over 20 years because they're the best. Not this time. I get a battery charge usually from this one for 14 months. As I have been wearing them for over 20 years, I think they look slightly odd when I first got them, like they were reconditioned rather than new. It appeared that the sides of the cases had been scratched very badly, as if someone was trying to cover up the logo and information. They had been opened up as if they had a groove around the top. Normally, a smooth, sealed plastic top covers the top. My batteries were either reconditioned, not new, or they were counterfeit in some way. The packaging was correct, as they always come from MK, but I suspect that the batteries were reconditioned, not new. When they are new, I go 3 1/2 to 4 days between charges, but as they age, they get more vulnerable and I have to go longer between charges. It's time to replace them before I get stuck somewhere after recharging every day for three and a half months. My batteries stutter going over thresholds and I have to recharge them every day. MK, this was a total failure. Finding another brand to purchase.
